A) Documentation of the Development Process.

This website was designed for my IT270 Website design class as my Final project. My concept was to design a sports store website. This class was challenging yet fun. I tried to have an interactive, cool navigation bar from the tools I have learned. I also altered background photo's to keep a similar appearance as you switch pages.

B) Defense of the Final Product.

I started with a patriotic type of red/white/blue color scheme, but changed it to the "fire" theme I have here now. I made this change because I thought it looked better and was easy on the eyes. I think a dark background with vibrant foreground colors makes a website stand out. I utilized many features like the box-shadow and border-radius to make my products for sale pop out and look more appealing to the consumer. I used the opacity feature in a few areas so you can see the background a little bit behind the navigation bar and text boxes. In the navigation bar, I made it so the user can see the active page they are on, included a "hover" highlight, and have a sport picture appear in the background briefly when you click on it. I also included a Google search element in case the user wanted to search the Internet for similar products. And finally, on the home page, I included some videos from my product "partner" in order to get the customer excited about the products we are selling.

C) Opportunities for Improvement and Growth.

If I had more time, and it was a real store website, I would have added more content. I would have added links to popular social media sites like Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest. I definitely would have taken time to improve the graphics. I would add a left side section for things like product searches and filters. And finally, it would have been nice to use some sort of website design software with a graphical interface, I think it would have then been easier to position everything within the site.
