Board the Ship
The ship Corik viewed in front of him was about the size of a medium sized cargo vessel, though it was shaped sleekly for maneuverability rather than load space. It was just about big enough to hold a hyperdrive generator, meaning light speed was obtainable. He was glad, though he knew it must have had it. For any vehicle capable of traveling between other planets needed light speed capability, unless one wished to be flying for a few months.
The energy Corik felt as he stepped onto the platform of the vessel was invigorating, magnified by the rich blue color of the ship’s outer plating. He followed his Jedi friend eagerly into one of the main quarters of the ship. Two others seemed to be awaiting their arrival, and were standing in the room as Corik and the Jedi entered. The two others also carried lightsabers, and the three Jedi then told Corik to sit down. They all three then proceeded to introduce themselves formally to Corik.
On the left was Master Edem, a Rodian. He ranked himself as a Jedi Sentinel. Corik noticed his words were drawn out and surprisingly witty, though he had only heard him speak a few sentences
In the center was Master Jurix, a human. He called himself a Jedi Guardian. He was quiet, and Corik didn’t see him as one for many words. However, his size and build were enormous, and Corik estimated him to be about 7’6”, more or less.
On the right was Master Quithar, an Anomid, though she mentioned her first name Talia would do better than her title for now. She labeled herself a Jedi Counselor. She talked quickly and excitedly, but seemed extremely friendly.
It was a lot to take in, seeing three different races of humanoids in front of him, and Jedi nonetheless. He had known of Rodians and Anomids in his own personal studies, but he had never seen any of them; Topan, his home world, wasn’t very diverse.
His thoughts strayed into thoughts about his past life. He had had a lonely life once he left to fend for himself. Though he had made a decent living independently, he had missed being with others, and his ever so quick reunion and split from his best friend was more than he could take. His stress level had likewise been to levels his body had never experienced before, being in the face of death more times than he could count. It was just too much.
He stopped thinking and shut his eyes. He felt the ship begin to shudder and then jolt forward. They were taking off. No more going back was his last thought before falling fast asleep.

Rubbing his eyes, Corik sat up, wondering where he was. It took him awhile to realize that he wasn’t dreaming about this whole thing, and that his experience waking up back in his bed on Topan was actually the real dream.
He got up and walked into the front end of the ship, where the three were all sitting together and talking quietly. They looked up at him as he entered, and Master Edem pointed toward the front view outside the ship. Corik looked.
Ahead of the ship was a large planet, but it wasn’t like any planet he had ever seen before. Buildings and structures stretched across almost every inch of the surface, like one incredibly massive city.
“Coruscant, isn’t it amazing!” Master Quithar said in excitement.
“Nothing like it in the entire realm of the Republic.” Master Jurix added.
“Well, what’s left of-” Master Edem stopped as the other two gave him a sharp glare.
Corik wasn’t sure what the reason for that remark was, but he wasn’t about to ask. He was too busy gazing in awe at the spectacle. As they came closer and into the atmosphere of the planet, Corik’s visions from the rumors he heard on Topan were now becoming realities. The next few moments were a blur, and before he knew it, he felt a large hand on his shoulder as Master Jurix uttered “Time to go.” They had landed.
*Rodian- Green, insect-like, bug eyed humanoid. Rodians have become almost as numerous as humans, and are almost as versatile, taking on jobs of all different levels and classes.
**Anomid- Small intelligent humanoid race. The only thing that separates an Anomid from a human is its silver hair and modest build and height.
