Marcus Cole - a Ranger - comes to the station to get help against the Shadows who are attacking a Ranger base. An Earth official investigates the mystery ship encountered by Lt. Keffer. Sheridan is given a gift, and the Shadows end their agreement with Londo, and are shown with one of the Earth Gov senators.

A mad bomber attacks the station with Lennier becoming one of its first victims. Despite some skepticism on Garibaldi's part,Ivanova calls on some unusual investigators to help solve the mystery. Londo and G'Kar find themselves in a confined and hot space.

A new Narn ambassador - a Centauri appointee - comes to the station and demands that G'Kar return to Narn. Vir leaves to take over the Centauri mission on Minbar. An alien probe makes first contact with station and asks 600 questions.

Lyta Alexander comes back to the station as Ambassador Kosh's new assistant, after having made it to the Vorlon home world. However she won't reveal what she saw. One of the monks turns out to be a mindwiped ex-criminal.

A Ministry of Peace agent is appointed Political Officer to Babylon 5 and causes Sheridan some consternation. Ivanova with the help of Draal, uses the Great Machine and gets evidence implicating Clark in the assassination of President Santiago. Ivanova and Marcus contact one of the First Ones and gets them to agree to help fight Shadows.

Bester comes to the station to find a dealer in the illegal drug Dust. G'kar wants to use the drug to fight the Centauri. He takes some and attacks Londo and Vir, who are badly hurt.

Episode 51

The Vindrizi take over the bodies of some lurkers and Marcus and Franklin try to find out what's going on. A brief mention of a Shadow buildup in sector 800 and a package from Mars for Marcus that will arrive in a few weeks.

Episode 52

A Shadow ship is found on Ganymede, apparently the second discovered by Earth. But this one they mean to keep and Sheridan takes the White Star out to stop them. Nightwatch steps up its surveillance and becomes suspicious of both Garibaldi and Sheridan. In the final scene President declares Marshall Law on Earth.

Nightwatch is put in charge of station security by the Political Office. Garibaldi is relieved as Security Chief. Marshall Law  is declared on Babylon 5. General Hague is trying to mount a revolution. Lady Morella visits the station and tells Londo he will have three more chances to save himself. She then tells Londo and Vir that they will both be Emperor.

Sheridan wrests back control of the station and drafts the Narn as security. G'Kar wants in on the conspiracy. We learn that most of the rebellious ships have been destroyed and its only a matter of time before General Hague is captured.

Earth Alliance forces attack B5 and the rebel ships gather there. The Grey Council is broken and Delenn gets some of the Council to support her and send ships to defend B5.

Episode 55

Nightwatch thugs capture Delenn. Londo threatens Refa. Lennier confesses he love Delenn, so does Sheridan. Marcus confesses guilt he feels over his brother's death, Garibaldi confesses his fear of losing control, Ivanova confesses she loved Talia Winters, and Franklin confesses his addiction. Delenn gives the crew new uniforms.

Vir meets his new wife Lyndistry, and gets attacked by Narn. He reveals his secret identity of Abrahami Linconi, and loses his job as attache to Minbar.

Episode 57

King Arthur arrives on station and makes friends with G'Kar. Garibaldi has trouble getting his mail. Sheridan tries to put together an alliance to defend B5.

Episode 58

Bester shows up and leads the crew to a shipment of weapon components for shadow ships. It turns out that the components are actually people - rewired Psi to be used as shaw ship cores. Bester allies himself with the crew in the war. The Shadows finally strike openly against another alien species. G'Kar joins the council.

Episode 59

Sheridan asks Kosh for help to fight Shadows. Adira is killed by Morden who tricks Londo into believing Lord Refa did, and in so doing leads Londo back into rejoining the Shadows. Kosh is killed by the Shadows as an act of revenge. Franklin resigns because of his Stim addiction.

Episode 60

Sinclair in the other half of "Babylon Squared". It turns out that Babylon 4 was pulled back in time to the first Shadow war where it served as a base for the Minbari. They all, except Garibaldi. go backward in time 6 years to stop a Shadow attack on B4 and to pull the station back in time. Zathrus accompanies them. Sheridan gets unstuck in time and is thrown forward into the future on Centauri Prime. He is being held captive by an angry Londo whose planet appears to be in the process of being destroyed either by the Shadows or someone else.

Episode 61

Sinclair takes the station back 1000 years into the past and becomes Valen. Sheridan, while in the future discover he and Delenn have a son called David. In that future Londo and G'Kar kill each other so that Sheridan and Delenn can escape. Sinclair, Delenn and Sheridan are all the One.

Episode 62

Sheridan leads an attack against the Shadows using telepaths. Lyta thinks a part of Kosh is in Sheridan. A new Vorlon arrives to take Kosh's place, he tells Sheridan "we are all Kosh". Franklin is wandering through B5 trying to find himself. He meets a beautiful girl, but she is dying.

Garibaldi discovers a cult hiding in a secret sector of B5. Delenn is selected to lead the Rangers, but Neroon tries to stop her. Marcus battles Neroon.


Episode 64

The power struggle between Londo and Refa leads to a series of double and triple crosses and a powerful final confrontation on Narn. Vir is forced to act against his principles and is betrayed by Londo. Sheridan draws closer to Delenn. Religious leaders come to B5 with secret information.

The Army of Light launches a major attack against the Shadows and wins, but at terrible cost. Franklin finally returns to Medlab after being seriously wounded. Surprise - Anna Sheridan is not dead and arrives unexpectedly.

Episode 66

Cliffhanger season finale. Sheridan decides to go to Z'Ha'Dum with Anna to discover the secret of the Shadows. He takes the White Star but leaves it in orbit. Anna has been taken over by the Shadows, and Sheridan learns that his actions are interfering with their plans. He crashes the White Star into their city, detonating two nuclear devices. The question is left open as to whether or not he is dead. B5 is surrounded by a Shadow fleet, but they flee taking Garibaldi with them.
