| water changes are performed every two weeks. The tank currently houses three Ocellaris Clownfish, various soft corals, Turbo Snails, Bumble Bee Snails, Scarlet Reef Hermit Crabs, Dwarf Hermit Crabs, and a Coral Banded Shrimp. The tank is maintained at an average temperture of 78 - 80 degress F in the summer and 76 degrees F in the winter. The lighting unit was upgraded in January of 2004 from a standard oak hood to the Formosa JBJ Power Compact Lighting System. (65 watt 10,000K daylight and 65 watt Actinic Blue.) The skimmer has been upgraded in July 2005 from a Berlin Airlift to an Excaliber by Advanced Aquaria. Mechanical Filtration is achieved from the Emperor 280 Power Filter and Biological Filtration is 60 lbs. of Fiji Live Rock. Tank has been running successful according to these methods that I have established. |
