He had all the DP albums including the Black Night single with Spped King on the B side which I was really into in at school in Year 7. The turning point was when he got "Made in Japan" for Xmas which set the level against which everything else was judged. I just loved the musicianship and sheer exhuberance. In 1981 I had the pleasure of introducing a young Jim Steinman and Abba fan named Dave Ruddick to DP who in turn encouraged me to get into other DP related bands such as Whitesnke and introduced me to DPDUFC. Favorite DP Lineup: The Classic MIJ Mk 2 Lineup Favoorite Deep Purple Musician: Musically Jon Lord and for personality Roger Glover.
