around the world many people from many different cultures use the word "CHICKEN" to describe someone who is less than brave.
The truth about chickens is, that they are the least likely living creature, to back away from conflict between chickens.
of course, when confronted by mice, they tend to explode into hysteria, and  die of panic. This is why mice run the chicken Mafia.

CHICKEN   BAYWATCH
  SLICE a pocket in chicken breast(skin on )
  STUFF with a mixed glomp* of bacon, avocado,smoked oysters,
             olives , and mozzarella.
  WRAP in ovenbake paper and
  NUKE on high for 5 minutes
  SAUCE chicken stock, teaspn cornflour, water, tblspn olive oil,
               white pepper.
  SERVE with steamed cabbage, greenbeans and asparagus,
              and grilled zuccini.
  *note* I made this dish for the first time as a "welcome to our
  new share accomodation" dinner with Kath , Jill and myself.
  the dinner was lovely, and we were all excited and mildly lustfull
  toward eachother.
  Weve never spoken since. But I remember the chicken,
  and the toe-sucking, with great fondness.
