| Arizona is home to three native species of quail - Gambel's, Scaled, and Mearns. Over the years, Arizona hunters have come to consider the taking of all three species in one day to be a "triple slam." This is a particularly difficult undertaking as all of the species are found in markedly different habitats. I've only managed to take all three in two days - a slow motion triple slam. I'm still working on my official triple slam. | |
