Dave was a most unassuming individual.� He did favors for people without
standing to gain anything and gladly offered his assistance with no strings
attached.� His friendship and willingness was always there, just
like Dave himself. Dave's compassion for others was further demonstrated by his very obvious devotion to Cameron, a sweet and sensitive young boy, who he treated as if he were his own son.� Cameron and Dave shared a trusting and loving relationship, which Dave pursued against all odds.� Cameron will no doubt feel a huge gap in his young life now, and hold on to the principles Dave instilled in him over time. During this difficult time for us all, we might find ourselves agonizing over Dave's untimely passing. I am sure that Sheppie would have been very touched at the insistent and valiant efforts of his friends on the beach as they tried to revive him. As unfair as life seems, especially at times like these, we realize that some things will forever remain inexplicable.� We have no choice but to accept that this was Dave's time.� Sheppie has departed our lives, but will forever remain in our hearts and memories.� Not a fair compromise but one we must live with. We were honored to have known you, Sheppie.� Rest easy. Meet you in the sky! May the passage of time bring comfort and peace to all who mourn the loss of Dave Shepherd.
