| I love hockey.� It is so great.� There's something about a sport where, if the playing itself doesn't injure you, you could always get hit in the face by a piece of frozen rubber flying 100+ m.p.h. or cut by a sharp stick or blade. My favourite hockey player is Peter Skudra.� There is a long story about why he is my favourite player.� Click over there on "Why I Think Skudra Rocks" if you're in for a long and possibly uninteresting read. Peter Skudra was signed back in November by the Vancouver Canucks.� They are now my second favourite team behind, of course, the Buffalo Sabres--whose backup goaltender is Bob Essensa, another favourite of mine. | Most recent update: 4/28/02, 1:01 PM.� What was updated: Peter Skudra replaced an ineffective Dan Cloutier once again in Game 6 against Detroit, and this time Skudra was burdened with the loss. He entered at 4:23 of the first period with Vancouver down 2-0. The Canucks fought back to tie the game at 2, but then the wheels fell off and in the end Detroit held a 6-4 victory. Vancouver is now eliminated from the playoffs. We look forward to seeing Skudra in action once again come October. |
