Mission Statement Made up exclusively of men and women disabled in our nation's defense, the Disabled American Veterans is dedicated to one, single purpose: building better lives for all of our nation's disabled veterans and their families. This mission is carried forward by:
Chapter 16 & Unit 16 A few of the things we do as a chapter for local veterans. Donates complete meals at Thanksgiving Donates Hams at Christmas Donates $200 in canteen books monthly to the Lyons VA campus veteran patients. Donates funds for Christmas gifts to Lyons VA campus and E Orange VA Hospital and Menlo Park Nursing home Donates tickets to Patriot's baseball games to patients at Lyons VA campus Helps indigent veterans or their families in crisis. Donates to the Somerset County, NJ Indigent Fund. Donates funds to the Department level of the DAV for statewide disbursement.
