| About: My gamo CFX was bought new a few years back with hunting and target shooting in mind, the new price was around $375AU (currently retails for $425 New). It is .177 calibre and has a rated velocity of about 1000fps, its cocked using an under lever system which leaves the barrel fixed for better accuracy. My Customization: Scope: The CFX features tru glow fiberoptic open sights from the factory which are really good but for longer ranges and small targets you cant beat a scope. The scope it's currently fitted with is a BSA Gamo 3-9 x 44 Illuminated centre dot unit, It has a typical crosshair however features a 9 setting variable brightness red dot at the centre of the aim point best suited for low light or dark conditions such as pigeons in sheds etc. This scope is mounted on a Nikko Air King one piece base which uses triple screw tightening and a full length clamp which maximises the surface contact with the scope mount rail to help prevent movement under the unique recoil produced by a spring air rifle. |
