Original Air Date: November 13, 2001 Written by: Rebecca Rand Kirshner Directed by: David Grossman Buffy is patrolling when Spike joins her and wants to talk about their kiss. She doesn�t want to discuss it and while they are arguing a shark-headed demon and his vampire henchmen come up to them. Spike owes the demon a debt ( fourty siamese Kittens). Buffy ends up fighting the vampires and Spike disappears. The rest of the Scoobies are over at Xanders�, Anya is wondering about Buffy�s time in heaven. Willow wants to try a spell that will make Buffy forget that she was in heaven. She and Tara argue about magic and Tara tells her she knows Willow used a forget spell on her. She wants to break up and Willow pledges that she can go a week without using magic. Giles has decided to return to England so that Buffy can learn to depend on herself. When the rest of the group gets to the Magic Box, Giles tells them that he will be going back to England. Buffy starts to tell them she can�t take it, when she and the others fall unconscious from a spell that Willow performed earlier to make Tara and Buffy forget. When the group awakens their memories are gone. Giles and Spike think they are father and son. Willow and Xander think they are a couple while Buffy and Dawn figure out they are sisters, except Buffy not having a license to identify herself decides her name will be �Joan�. Anya thinks she and Giles are engaged and Spike thinks his name is �Randy Giles�. The group decides to go to the hospital to get help. Vampires and the shark-headed demon from earlier are waiting outside the Magic Shop, ready to attack them. �Joan� and the others quickly figure out vampires are real and that �Joan� can kill them. Giles and Anya search for a spell to help while Xander, Willow, Dawn and Tara try and escape through the sewers. �Randy� and �Joan� distract the vampires and while fighting they discover Randy is a vampire, but 'Randy' thinks that he may have a soul since he doesn�t want to attack Joan. Xander and the others get trapped in the sewers by a vampire, while in the Magic Box Anya keeps conjuring up rabbits. Giles finally gets rid of them and they kiss. Xander fights the vampire in the sewer and a crystal that Willow used in the spell falls out of her pocket and when Xander steps on it, everyone�s memories are returned. Back at the house,Tara packs her things to leave Willow . Giles boards his plane to England. Spike tries to talk to Buffy at the Bronze and she turns away from him. A few minutes later she and Spike are eagerly kissing against a wall in the club. |
