The Vault

Introduction

Welcome, you have found level 1 of The Vault, some of my poetry resides here. You'll find different poems for different moods, just look around. I write my poetry with my own preceptions of life, the interpretation of experence and the emotions behind them. Using my imagination as my canvas, I paint pictures with words and expand minds with ideas. This poem was written in the spring of '94 while I was at Glebe Collegiate I was bored one sunny afternoon and decided to write. I was sitting on the steps of Door 9 with pen in hand, I can't recall what it was that inspired this poem, however it was created that day.

A Silhouette

In my mind stir's the dawn of a mid-summers morning
I saw through a haze a silhouette of someone standing
on the horizon of a new days sun, but I remained
unsure as to whom it was.

In my mind stir's the sun at high noon with the
silhouette now moving closer, I found it more familure
than before but remained unsure as to whom
it may be.

In my mind stir's the closeness of the silhouette,
a young woman, whom I felt I should know, however,
with out a face, still I remained unsure as the sun
set with the quickness of dusk.

In my mind stir's the nights' sky full of stars with a
cresent moon shining high above, I am upon this mysterious
silhouette, I stare into her eyes and relize how
blind I was.

You were waiting for me, forgive me I was lost.
