Well, the 4th has come and gone.  Overall it was pretty damn cool.  First Aaron, Kricket, and I went and saw T3. Good stuff.  Tons of non-stop action and killing.  Plus Kristianna Loken who played the TX is hot.  So it was an added bonus to the film.  Following the movie we stopped off at Giant and picked up some supplies before venturing to Aaron's to undertake one of our most hair-brained schemes to date.  Yes, ladies and gentlemen we succeeded.  We created...the Ghetto-Q.  What is the Ghetto-Q you ask?  Simple.  Take one fireplace and one small charcoal grill, throw out any concern you have for your home and you can have a Ghetto-Q.  Yes, we do have pictures, but you'll have to wait a bit for them.  I did kind of feel bad for Aaron because it did smoke up his place a bit, which means most likely everything he owns will smell like BBQ for a few days.  Wait...how is everything smelling like BBQ a bad thing?  Seriously though, next time I say let's just use the Foreman and spare the smoke detector.  We cooked the usual burgers and brats and watched a bootleg copy of the Hulk.  Speaking of the bootleg, it was definitely a pre-release bootleg.  Some of the digital effects were off and we actually saw the Hulk's ass in one scene.  That makes like 5 asses and one johnson we've seen in films lately.  Soon we were joined by Erka and Rick and decided it was dark enough to unload our small arsenal and commence celebrating the birth of our nation by blowing up a small part of it.  We just had some small fare and some rockets.  We were enjoying it all until the man (aka the fuzz or the po po) showed up and was sort of shutting everyone in Aaron's hood down.  That ended the fireworks.

Then we went inside and I showed everyone the beauty of Initial D Special Stage.  Of course before that Aaron burned himself a copy on his DVD burner. Woot!  This could mean between Aaron, Kricket, and I we could decrease our game budget by 2/3 by burning.  Of course Kricket will need to mod his system if he wants to use the burns.  Sorry Sony, you've already got quite a few of my hard earned dollars.  You'll have to forgive me if I choose to save some from here on out.  And to top it off we managed to end the night at a reasonable hour and I got some sleep.

The rest of this weekend has been totally uneventful.  I just played Initial D until I unlocked Bunta.  Can't beat him yet.  I went for a walk or two.  Did my laundry.  Slept alot.  Started working on a short story.  And then spent a few hours thinking about what the hell I want to do with the rest of my life.  Still not sure, so for now I'll stick with the environmental bizz.  But I know someday I will have a book published.  I'm not sure when or how or what it'll be about.  All I know is I'm going to do it.

Well that's all for my ghettofabulous weekend.  I'll check back in when there's news to report.  Later.

Today I'm not going to be talking about my personal problems and such.  I really don't feel like sharing anymore on this site.  I'm a little tired of having my own words used against me and people looking for opportunities to kick me when I'm down.  Also my message board will be going private in the near future.  So for all you lurkers and stalkers out there, take a moment to imagine me giving you the finger.  I know it's not classy, but I think it sends the correct message.  If you want access to the board, just e-mail me at the address on the front page.

Right now I want to go back to one of my favorite topics...Initial D Special Stage.  More importantly the Subarus found in the game and how they relate to me.  The two main Subarus in the game are the  Impreza WRX STi Version 6 (GC8) and Impreza WRX STi (GDB-This is the WRX we have in the US).  There  other Subaru in the game is the Version 5 and that is driven by the master himself, Bunta Fujiwara.  The man who taught Takumi everything he knows and then some.  This of course means that the Imprezas get the:
Bunta Fujiwara Seal of Approval
Why on earth should I care so much about this?  It just so happens I drive a MY00 Impreza with the beautiful GC8 body style.  Unfortunately the body style and AWD system are the only similarities to the versions mentioned above.  Mine is a dumbed-down American version with no turbo.  Right now I'm driving the Version 6 in the game and doing pretty good.  The real weakness of the Imprezas is their lack of top-end speed.  These cars are great for downhill because of their quick acceleration but uphill is another story.  That's why I had so much trouble with Keisuke.  Right now I'm getting closer to the inevitable battle between the Imprezas.  Yup, you get to battle Bunta in this game.  I just have to beat a few cars like the GT-R34, Civic SiR (EK9), and Integra Type R (DC2).  No sweat.  Just to let you see the cars I'm talking about, the pics are below.  My car is the one on the left and the Version 6 is on the right.  No need for a pic of the Version 5 since it is practically identical in appearance to the 6.
