It turns out all the rumors were true...Elivis is alive and not doing so well in an old age home. His hip is busted up, he sleeps all day, and um has a "growth on his pecker" which doesn't work anymore. The history of how he got there is revealed to us as we trudge through the film.
Turns out the "Elvis" that died was an impersonator by the name of Sebastian Half. The real Elvis switched lives with him in the 1970s to escape all the attention and touring schedule. However, the real Elvis lost the contract during a grilling accident. During one of his perfomances as Sebastian Half, Elvis broke his hip and things were never the same.
Luckily for The King, he isn't the only celebrity in the home. JFK is there and somehow had his skin dyed black after the assasination in Dallas. However, both of them have one common bond besides being famous. There is a mummy on the loose who sucks souls out of people's anuses. Nope I'm not lying...this is the plot. In a climatic ending that gave me a good laugh, Elvis and our former president take on the soul sucker. JFK, in an attempt to flush out the mummy in wheel chair, gets knocked off. Elvis takes out the mummy but dies from his battle wounds.
If it were anyone else playing Elvis, this movie would not be worth watching. Campbell puts on a hilarious show and the late Ossie Davis has fun in the role of JFK as well. Otherwise, the movie has nothing much to offer.
Pecker Lathering - Some people may think that an old man having sticky cream applied on his unit by a nurse isn't gruesome. I am definatly not one of those people. I can still hear the sound of it being applied...excuse me...just hurled...
Bubba Ho-Tep - Hes a duded up mummy who sucks the souls of the elderly out of their anus. Talk about some f**ked up morning breath...must smell like Alpo.
