Forlorn Hope was formed in the fall of 2003 by Steve and Seth. The band line up consisted of Adam Subhas on drums, Steve and Seth on guitars, Gavin Thomas on bass, and Anthony Infantino on vocals. Quickly trouble arose when bassist, Gavin Thomas, was forced to leave America because of an expired visa. After he returned to England Matthew Risberg was picked up to take his place. After a conflict of interest drummer, Adam Subhas, was replaced by David Koces briefly in 2004. Only playing with David for a month, the band decided that someone with more interest was needed, though the decision for David to leave was mutual. In the Spring of 2004, current drummer, Justin Bantz was picked up. After several arguments with bassist Matthew Risberg, the band fired him and quickly found current bassist Joshua Safer. Playing very few shows, the band decided to change the name and start rewriting material in order to "start fresh". Quickly resolving their writing issue, fh went into the studio in the fall of 2004 and continued to record their current track on myspace. From the time period of when they went into the studio in the fall of 2004, the band changed vocalists 3 times. Due largely in part to his apathy, original vocalist Anthony Infantino quit and the band acquired Jay on vocals. Quickly conflicts in logistics arose and the band was arguing quite frequently with Jay. He was fired and Ryan Rapolsive quickly took up his spot. Towards the end of the summer of 2005 the band came ever closer to finishing the recording. On the eve of their last day in the studio, Ryan quit leaving Steve to perform the vocals. When the demo was completed, the song was quickly posted on myspace in hopes of promoting the band. Luckily, not too long after Ryan quit, current vocalist Andrey Balandin was referred to Seth. Catching on to the material very quickly, he was welcomed aboard anxiously so the band could begin playing more shows again. Much chaos and instability on the bands internal levels was finally to come to an end at the close of 2005. With their current line up, Forlorn Hope has been playing ever more shows. Though each of the individual members is extremely busy with work or school, on the whole they are optimistic and are looking to get signed and tour. Hitting Water Studios in May, Forlorn Hope anticipates several shows over the summer and more promotion with three brand new tracks for fans. They encourage you to come to shows if at all possible and are looking to meet new people who support and appreciate what they do. Although they are not expecting to change the face of metal, they do hope to make a lasting impression on the NJ and US metal scene.
