| "What's his problem?" asked Mika. "At least this time you weren't matchmaking." "Oh no dear, I would choose someone incredibly hideos and more boring for you." Mika scowled after her father as he walked away from her. - - - "So, did you go to the new president's coronation?" Cary asked the young man who was sitting at a table, as he sat down with a cup of coffee in hand. "Yeah man, it was great. I was one of the insignificant guards. DUh, you know that all the Dunst leaders were there, of course I was," he replied, sipping his coffee as his gold-flecked brown eyes gazed out the window of the cafe. Cary eyed him with a calm, yet warning expression. "I was passively asking you how you thought it was, Jordan," Cary said, turning to look out the window also. He spotted the dark-brown head of Mika walking passed. "It was like all the other coronations, boring. They really need to lighten those things up, you know, music and dancing. Some sort of celebration," Jordan said, as Cary hopped up and left the cafe, following behind Mika amongst the crowds of people. Jordan continued to himself, "Not that you'd care. Some people are just so rude." Just then, the striking figure of Ro glided through the glass doors and up to the counter. Jordan watched her as she ordered a meager roll and small cup of coffee. He remembered seeing her at the coronation, and other important events. At such events, she sat among the most highly recognized Dunst members. Unfortunately, he knew little about her, considering that hte last formal Dunst meeting took place almost three years ago. Jordan had only become a leader two years ago. His given title was Wolf, otherwise known as The Forger. Jordan was who the Dunst went through to forge important documents or when they were searching for a place to plant their spies or thieves. Ro took her lunch, if it could be called that, and sat at a quiet booth away from the other people in the restaurant. She glanced up as a shadow fell across the table, abover her stood a darkly tanned man, whose dark locks of brown hair fell into his intense gold-flecked brown eyes. She blinked her deep, emerald eyes, challenging him to stand there moments longer. He just looked at her, but no words of explanation came out. "Do I know you? If I do, you must be angered that I forgot to send you a holiday card and that must be your reason for coming over here and disturbing my feast. What can I say though, oops. There's only so many people I can remember," Ro remarked, hoping maybe he would leave her, and let her plot out how she was going to go ice-skating with the ambassador form Iqlipre and eat dinner with the three most appraised fashion designers at the same time. "Umm...actually, no, I don't know you, but I've seen you around and was wondering who you were?" Jordan said, caught off guard from his normal casual ways fo introducing himself to a girl. Her eyes seemed to draw him in and leave him speechless. "Oh, I see. You must be another one of my stalkers, I have a lot of them around here." "No, I saw you at the Head's coronation. What part of the Dunst groups are you in?" "Ha, right, like I'm going to tell you. I don't even know you. GO away." "Wait, my name's Jordan Forbes. What did you think of the Head's coronation?" Without invitation, Jordan sat down across from Ro. She gave him a withering look. Oh great, some cute guy thinks he can just sit down across from me. They really are getting brave now-a-days, she thought to herself. "It was like any other coronations, sweetie, just the same as the funeral." "Yeah, except the funeral wasn't as morbid." "You were at the funeral also? I thought only the important advisors and Dunst group officials were there. I must have overlooked the small print on the invitation about losers." "I guess that if you weren't filled with just air, you'd have realized by now that I am an important Dunst official," Jordan got up, leaving an astounded Ro. Shocked that he dared to talk to her like that, she watched him exit the cafe. - - - "Hey Mika, where ya headed?" Cary spoke up from his casual distance behind her. "You know, for a spy, you're not too good at knowing when you're being followed." "Cary, if I were concerned about you following me ever since that cafe, I'm sure I would have done something," she replied, looking behind her to glare at Cary. "Are you always such an unfriendly person?" "Only when you're around. Goodbye," Mika began to walk off towards Misty's Cottage, the cover name for the Dunst headquarters. Cary caught up to her and matched her quick pace with some long strides. "I noticed you played hooky at the Head's coronation." "There were more important things." "Such as? I mean, there were only a select group of people even invited there." "I had to take my cat to the vet, it was vomiting all over Ro's endangered breed of ancient caterpillars. I think it might've eaten one, poor cat." |
