'Mirror, rorriM...'
The tiny queen fire lizard screeched at the other fire lizards around her, watching her rocking eggs. The other fire lizards dissappeared between, coming back with fish in their claws, waiting for the eggs to hatch. The queen crooned as her first child broke its shell, jumping on a fish held by a brown. Two more fire lizards hatched, both greens, but one of them especially dark. Their mother crooned as they went towards the waiting fish, then turned back to the other hatching fire lizards.
Therefore, she didn't notice when the dark green turned away from the food, heading towards a large bush. Nor when a hand came out from behind it, giving the tiny green a peice of meat.
Another egg hatched, revealing a gold fire lizard, the mirror image of her mother. Distracted by the other hatchlings, none of the fire lizards took notice when the little gold also turned towards the bush. Again, the hand held out a peice of meat for her.

"No fair, why do you get the gold?" Laval asked, glaring at his twin.
"Because I'm the one that fed her." Nabil answered. "Besides, I'm the oldest."
"No you're not, we're twins!" Laval shouted in indignation.
"Well, anyway," Nabil said. "I'm going to call her Skara. What about yours, Laval?"
Laval sighed. "Kiara."
"Well then, We have Skara and Kiara. We better head back," Nabil grinned. "Sister dearest probably wants to see us."

"Where were you two? There's a searchrider." Reeka asked them as they entered the Hold.
"We got a bit...sidetracked." Laval said, showing their younger sister the tiny, dark green fire lizard asleep in his arms.
"Oh, great. More sharding lizards." Reeka rolled her eyes.
Nabil snorted. "This coming from the girl that impressed a black one."
Reeka stopped, glaring at him. "That's different. Tolenys was a gift."
Laval just grinned, while Nabil rolled his eyes. "Hey Reeka, been in your room lately?"
Reeka frowned. "No. Please don't tell me this is another one of your jokes."
Nabil frowned, Reeka was just no fun. She looked at their fire lizards. "So that's where you were? I thought you would have been off annoying the search rider."
The twins' head snapped up simultamiously. "Searchrider? There's a Search!?!?!?"
Reeka rolled her eyes. "Yes! I told you that already, didn't you hear me? He's from Tiynarea Weyr."
She looked up, and blinked. Her brother's were nowhere in sight.

Later...

"WHHHAAAATTT!?!?!?!? What do you mean, Reeka was searched? She hates dragons!" Laval yelled at his older brother, Vasin.
"Hey, that's what happened, alright? Faranth knows why they would want her, though. Much less why she would agree." Vasin answered.
"Oh, we all know the answer to the last one, Vasin." Nabil said. "If Father says 'Jump,' Reeka says 'How high?' Even if it means Standing."
Vasin frowned. "You two have to stop playing around. If you were here when the searchrider came, he might have taken you two, instead. And that would be a huge load off our backs."
The twins grinned. "Just happy to oblige."

Scarce days after Reeka left, another Searchrider came, this time a brown rider from Blue Sky Weyr.
Laval blinked. "Never heard of it." He said.
"Well, either way, that's probably the last chance you'll get to be searched for a long time." Vasin answered him. Considering that their father, the Lord Holder, was not much liked, Searchriders tended to avoid their Hold whenever possible.
"So, where is he?" Nabil asked.
Vasin smiled. "She is right behind you."
Laval and Nabil turned, and saw a female rider behind them.
"Hello." She said, smiling. "I'm Zandy, and you two are Laval and Nabil, I trust?"
"Yes." Laval said. "And might I add that your dragon is the most handsome beast I have ever had the privilage of-"
"Flattery won't get you searched." Zandy interrupted him.
Laval sighed. "Well, it was worth a try, at least."
Zandy smiled. "What will get you searched goes something like this: 'Laval and Nabil, you have been searched, do you accept?' At which point you reply with something like, 'Oh, we never expected to actually get searched, we're not good enough for dragons, you must have made a mistake.' However, feel free to skip that part, it gets rather boring after a while."
Nabil spoke up. "Of course, we've been trying to get searched since we could say, 'I accept.' We never really did like all that, 'I'm not worthy.' stuff anyway."
"However, if we have been searched, then our answer is obviously, yes." Laval said.
