April 7, 2001. I added a "meet my pet" page where you can take a quick look at my toy poodle Pepi.

April 6, 2001. I added a new rambling called "An Attempt at Self-criticsm" and a short review of Nietzsche's The Birth of Tragedy.

My appearance on ABC's Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? Several months ago, I was fortunate enough to win a trip to New York to compete on ABC's Who Wants to Be a Millionaire program. I made it into the hot seat with Regis on my first fastest-finger question. I have hesitated to put anything about this experience on my web site, but I think the time is right now. The show was taped on April 10, 2000, and aired on Thursday night, April 13, 2000. Hopefully, I can add a picture or two to this page before long, but here at least is the story of my 15 minutes of fame.

July 4, 1999--Unbelievable as it may seem, DarkGenius has built himself a new computer. This site should see some significant additions in the near future because the only excuse I have for not working on it is my own laziness and my periodic times of depression and hopelessness. My primary goal for the near future is to devote a page to Benji, the greatest canine actor in history--I have been amazed to find no real information about Benji available on the Web, and I intend to change that. My recent interest in Benji may seem strange, but as I get older I am entering a stage in which I am trying to recapture my youth. As you can see, I have no life whatsoever.

May 21, 1999--I have finally added the end notes for my thesis on Thomas Dixon, Jr. I will get the end notes for my paper on the Klan in Western North Carolina in 1870-71 on here as soon as I can.

January 29, 1999--I have finally gotten around to updating this site. It has been quite plain and drab since I started it. For right now, I'm working on the background aspect, but soon I plan to make these pages much more multimedia-intensive.
