They ****** me about BIGTIME with a freezer I bought
and paid for, This went on & on I went to the shop in Hammersmith and got
my delivery charge back over the counter but will never buy anything from
them again! I now go to
pricerunner.com
They tell you everything you need to know about
electrical stuff and the cheapest place to get it. I tried to go to your
horror stories page but there was a fault on it which is why I am replying
this way. I'm glad somebody out there is doing something about those B*****ds!
I hope they get what they deserve! All the best ;o) Received from

The Wimbledon branch is full
of spotty teenagers who have no manners, know nothing about the products
and manage to give the impression they don’t care. All they seem to have
any enthusiasm for is trying to flog you an extended warranty. I wouldn’t
buy from there if it was the last shop on earth. Received from mrstation

I think that applies to all
branches. It provides no end of amusement to walk into Dixons knowing what
you're talking about and confuse the staff.
Mind you, Shoe Express staff are considerably worse, or at least they are
in every shoe express I've been in. Admittedly there's less knowledge
necessary to seem qualified... but they're just rude. Spotty teenagers are
one thing, spotty teenagers who pick their spots in front of the mirrors
while ignoring customers are quite another. Received from xrikcus via

Dixons' sales staff are on
commission so it is in their interest to sell you anything and everything,
regardless of whether it's the right product or not. I was mis-sold two
digital cameras before I saw sense and went to John Lewis. Couple this
policy with their complete lack of knowledge of their own products and
you've got a fairly miserable shopping experience. Avoid. And don't even
get me started on PC World. I will most certainly be visiting your
website. Received from dan robinson via

Dixons are a commercial
organisation of course their sole motive is to make a profit. Other
companies that have better customer care policy have the same motives it is
just that they have realised that by treating their customers with more
respect they can improve those profits.
Instead of wasting your time moaning about Dixons why not expend you
energies on somthing of real concern such as preserving
the feeding
grounds of the Slavonian Grebe

Last Saturday, my wife and I
brought a new cooker from Curry’s. knowing them from old, we asked them
about delivery and installation of said cooker pointing out quite clearly
that anything longer than a week, and we’d go elsewhere. They phoned and
allegedly made the appointment for the following Wednesday. We actually
heard the girl say down the phone “Have you got the CORGI installation
diary open?”.
Well guess what! Monday, and
my wife receives a telephone call. The can deliver the cooker on
Wednesday & take it away, but can’t actually install it until the
following Monday (Heaven only knows how they expected us to cook in the
meantime).
We
went back to the shop, practically got called liars by the manager (“They
wouldn’t book the installation immediately..”) and generally made to feel
as if we really shouldn’t get in the way of Curry’s doing whatever they
wanted, when they wanted.
I
told ‘em to stick their order and went elsewhere.
I’ll
urge anybody to do their level best to avoid the Dixon’s Store Group (Dixons,
Curry’s, PC World) like the plague. Received From Paul Coulson
