KMAS - "Monstrosity"
Unique Powered Armor System

This unique armor system consists of body armor and a modifiable armor / weapon unit (nicknamed "THE CRAWLER"). Unlike other Kittani equipment, this system doesn't seem to be the typical bizarre synthesis of Bio-wizardry and Techno-wizardry. The Kittani won't say where the technology comes from, but it is rumored that it was created by a race rival to the Splugorth. Hermes has made many bids on buying the prototype, but has been refused.

* The M.D.C. of the crawler unit is split up when the unit is split into specific systems. The Crawler automatically retreats to Backpack form when M.D.C. is reduced below 0.

Power system: Unknown (P.P.E. ?)

Range: effectively unlimited. A test pilot has yet to exhaust air / rations supplies.

Black Market Cost: NEVER SOLD! ULTRA TOP SECRET!! Would cost 500 billion credits for a functioning unit with the codes necessary to activate the Crawler unit.

The Crawler unit is attached to the back of the body armor, but by some unknown activation code / command, it seems to come to pseudo-life, and "Crawls" over the body armor to form the commanded form, then hardens back into some sort of ceramic-like substance.

Modes
each mode change takes 1D3 actions

1)Enhanced Armor: The Crawler spreads out evenly over the armor, adding its M.D.C. to the armors (now 600 M.D.C.) IT looks very monstrous in this form (HF = 11). By some unknown means, the enhanced armor mode seems to reflect the darker side of the pilot's nature.

2)Monster Claws: The crawler spreads over arms and forms pincerlike claws over the hands. It gives a robotic strength of 50! Restrained claw hit/nip does 1D6 M.D.; full hit does 3D6 M.D.; claw nip/grab and Power hit (2 actions) does 1D6�10 M.D. Note, this only augments arms and hands, not legs/spine, so can only lift maximum 500 lbs over their normal strength (carry 200 lbs over P.S.) Each arm/claw has 250 M.D.C.

3)Lightning Legs: The crawler covers the legs and lower abdomen. The character can run at an Spd. of 538 (400 mph). He has +5 to dodge. The pilot fatigues at 20% of his normal rate. He can jump 40 ft. up, 60 ft. across; running jump is 200 ft. up or 350 ft. across. Kick attack does 3d6 M.D. Each leg has 250 M.D.C.

4)Particle Beam Gauntlets: The crawler covers the forearms and hands. It forms a P-beam blaster on each wrist. Shots do 6D6+10 M.D. per shot. Each blaster can fire once per melee. Since it taps into the internal power of the crawler unit, the payload is unlimited. Each blaster gauntlet has 250 M.D.C.

5)Missile bazooka: The crawler forms a L.A.W.-like (light antitank weapon) unit on the right shoulder. It fires at mental command. The missile is a Heavy Plasma Smart Bomb (+5 strike, 2 attacks per melee, weapon systems bonuses applicable). Damage is 2D6�10 M.D.; range is 40 miles, speed 1400 mph. The payload is one, but by some unknown method, the crawler "Grows" one new missile each hour when expended. This production occurs regardless of the form the crawler is currently in. There can never be more than one missile at a time. The launcher's M.D.C. is 500.

6)Hover System: The crawler backpack forms directional hover jets, and parts of the unit form additional jets on the legs. Pilot can hover at a height of 2-550 feet, at a speed of 30 mph (+2 dodge when hovering). backpack has 200 M.D.C., each leg thruster (2) has 150 M.D.C.

7)Aqua Suit: The crawler forms flippers, webbed gloves, a thruster pack and optics band. The optics band eliminates distortion from the water and gives 1000 ft. passive nightvision underwater. Swim speed is 100 mph with the thruster; speed without thruster based on character's swim skill. The thruster pack has 200 M.D.C., optics band has 50 M.D.C., each glove has 50 M.D.C., and each flipper has 75 M.D.C.

8)Imager: In this most unusual of configurations, the crawler forms a sensor band across the back of the body armor helmet, and a gun-like barrel on the right wrist. The Pilot can mentally project a life-size holographic image of anything he has seen (65% accuracy) or imagined. The image has no sound, and it transparent. *The character must have some form of psionics to use this mode. The hologram costs 6 I.S.P. per minute. The head band has 200 M.D.C.; the projector 300 M.D.C.

9)Monster Sword: The crawler forms a pair of gauntlets and a large, ornate sword in one hand. The sword does 3D6 M.D. (magical?), is +3 to strike / parry. Projectiles and energy beams can also be parried with the normal parry bonuses, since the blade seems to be partially self-willed--it will even teleport from hand to hand as needed. The Monster Sword returns instantly (teleports) to pilot at will if ever disarmed. The monster Sword is NOT well suited for throwing (no bonuses, natural roll-3). Gauntlets have 50 M.D.C. each, and the sword has 400 M.D.C. (it only takes � damage from attacks it parries, and does no damage to itself when attacking).

10)Power Loader: The crawler covers most of the body, building up the arms and forming grossly oversized hands. The legs are build up into elephantine feet, and the spine is reinforced. In this form, the Mostrosity has an incredible robotic strength of 80!! It can lift 8000 lbs and carry it for up to 1000 ft. However, this form is not designed for combat, and is very slow (max Spd is 7). All combat rolls are natural rolls -5. Hits by the oversized hands do a mere 1D4 M.D. The loader has 40 M.D.C. in each limb, 50 in each hand, and 200 M.D.C. in the main body
