he story of the Dark Divinity guild is nothing short of fascinating; our history is rich as our roots date back to the very beginning of Norrath itself. We ask that you open your mind, pull your chair close and read our story.
Long ago in a land far, far away magic still reigns supreme two friends enjoyed traveling the lands of Norrath in search of adventure. There goal was not fame or riches; quite the contrary; they simply enjoyed seeing the world and enjoyed the company of the other. These two friends met many people in their travels and were delighted to lend a hand when they could asking nothing in return.
It happens that one day our friends were in heated combat, the dragon that they had stumbled upon was just too much for the two to on alone. Sadly the druids snare spell had aggravated the mighty beast into frenzy, his mistake was readily apparent as he pumped nuke after nuke into the flesh of the dragon. His friend the mighty paladin intervened with full knowledge that he would not last long standing toe-to-toe with the beast himself was willing to sacrifice himself for his friend. The druid sat down close to a tree, placed his hand on the fertile ground and meditated like never before, asking the gods of Norrath to fill him full again. The battle raged, the paladins mightily wurmslayer slashing into the flesh of the dragon. The druid watched with great sadness as his friends health drifted lower and lower. It would be simply pointless for him to engage the monster; he prayed for a miracle. Three bubbles of health, then two, one, half a bubble to death itself. The paladin erupted in a flame of white light, his health full again, he had prayed to the Gods to help and they listened.
The battle ensued and the druid was able to regain enough mana to possibly turn the battle. It looked like the friends would be victorious but then it happened. As if out of no where there was another dragon was on the scene. There was simply no hope now. The druid engaged in melee combat with his friend frantically trying to end the first dragons life as soon as possible. It dropped with a mighty shriek only to reveal the second; their demise was decided; they would die together.
A clap of thunder, a bold of lightning. The second dragon fell to the earth dead. The two friends were alone, and safe or so they thought. The looked around no threats to be seen only a woman, a woman all in white from the top of her head to the tips of here shoes. She smiled at the two battle wearily friends and said. I was certainly nothing to be feared long ago when I was a mere newbie. You two were kind to me; you took me under your wing and guided me to my home when I was lost. It was a long time ago, and I looked very different now but things, as they do, change, and so have I. Im not a newbie anymore but a strong and powerful wizard and I would be delighted to accompany you in your journeys for alone I still am vulnerable but united we could be an awesome power.
And so it came to be. Honor, allegiance and trust bind together our society. Once we were just a sorry collection of individuals and have come together and become a whole, greater than the sum of its parts. We stand together against all adversaries both large and small; for we are family.
If whomever should be so fortunate as to be counted as one of our number, rejoice for you have gained a new family, new friends. Woes betide those who would make an enemy of you for they have made an enemy of us all, for we are legion. We are Dark Divinity.
