| Creative Webcam (CT6840) | Creative no longer offers support for this webcam as it is deemed as being at "End of service life". Owing to limited webspace I currently don't have the drivers for this webcam available for download. Better try driverguide.com... | v2.0.2.0 | 587 KB | ![]() |
| Diamond Rio PMP300 MP3 Player | I can't even provide a link to the homepage for this product because Diamond Multimedia no longer supports it but that isn't such a bad thing... The original software that came with the player was awful and far from improve with later versions it actually got worse to the point where the player became unstable when uploading songs. One final nail in the coffin for the Rio Manager software is that it doesn't work Win XP. Fortunately, help is at hand since there are a number of very cool people out in the world who also own Rio's and happen to be handy dandy programmers. There are about half a dozen programs that will allow you to completely ignore the original software and still comfortably use your Rio. These programs aren't without their bugs but at least they work, even on Win XP! The best place to start is at RioWorld, which has links to other Rio software. From personal experience I can recommend Dreaming of Brazil and , at a push, RIOsitude. Both of these managers seem to be based on the work of The SnowBlind Alliance | Unknown | Unknown | ![]() |
| Diamond Rio PMP300se Command Line | This is a command line based utility for utilising your Rio. It has all the functionality of the Rio Manager and more besides. To obtain a list of commands just type Rio at the command line (making sure you are in the directory where the rio.exe file is). I've found this program at its most useful when used in conjuction with a simple playlist text file. Ok, so it might not be as quick as Rio Manager but its far less hassle to use and far less likely to annoy. Oh.. and it lets you download files from the Rio too, turning your Rio into a portable drive. | v1.07 | Unknown | ![]() |
| Fuji Finepix 4700 Digital Camera | Files are in a Zip archive. | v5.00.2183.1 | 40 KB | ![]() |
| Iomega 250MB USB Zip Drive | There are different driver files for this piece of hardware according the operating system you are using. Apparently Iomega support has the annoying policy that you have to sign up for support before they allow you to download drivers. That is almost as stupid as Adobe's Acrobat reader being a 27 MB download (almost but not quite). Anyway, You can download slightly older drivers, which should work just as well (Apparently the newest version is 4.0.3); just log into ftp.iomega.com, using an "anonymous" login, and go to the english.public folder. Here you will find the drivers (they are named something like iodrv-xxx-x86-306.exe; where xxx is the operating system e.g. w98 = Windows 98 & wme = Millenium Edition). Also be aware that the drivers for Zip drives and Iomegaware are not the same thing; you do not need Iomegaware to get the drive working just the drivers and in most cases you don't even need these because modern Windows versions have them built in. It is my experience of Iomegaware that it actually degrades system performance and doesn't really add any substantial benefits to your zip drive. I've included the old Windows 98 driver for download here simply because it is the one that is most likely to be needed. | 3.0.6 | 1.43 MB | ![]() |
