| WhoooHOooooooooo!!!!!!!!!! Ok so no big deal that I made a second page. Sheesh some people. Ok so I chose a forest backround, mostly because in D&D I tend to favor Rangers so that kind of makes sense. In case you don't know what D&D is it's Dungeons & Dragons, a Role Playing Game. No, it's not evil despite what some people may think and/or say. It's simply a game, sure it has evil creatures in it, but then at least most people are trying to destory said evil creatures. Anyway it's a social game where you get together with some friends, one of whom is a Dungeon Master, the rest of whom are called Players. The players make up characters and go through adventures that the DM has somewhat set up. Afterall the players have a say in how their characters act so they can go off where the DM doesn't expect them to. So this game requires a fair amount of imagination, some paper, pencil, and some dice. After that only your mind can limit you as far as where you go and what you can do. All in all I've been playing this game in various forms since I was 7, and have enjoyed it immensely. I honestly can't see why some people think a game can be evil and will make me go to hell. Anyway to each their own. OH I guess I should add some links in case you want to get some more info. www.wizards.com is the website for Dungeons & Dragon's parent company Wizards of the Cost (WotC). As of right now I'm in 2 campaigns (that's the term for a D&D game). The first has been going on for over 6 years now. Currently it has our DM, myself and 2 of my roommates involved, at one time we've had more people involved but as time has gone on some have dropped out. The other campaign is only a couple months old, and was started using the new 3rd edition rules. It has the same folks as before with the addition of another roommate, and a roommates girlfriend's younger sister, actually maybe 2 younger sisters, just that the other hasn't officially joined yet. In fact I think I'll relate some stories of the first game on another page. 8) Added 5/16/2003 Ok so here's something to think about for you astrology folks: 2 people. Under the zodiac they're not compatible. However under Chinese astrology they're suppossed to seek each other out. Which methodology wins? Why? How about the reverse (ie Chinese says to avoid that person, but Zodiac says you're perfect for each other)? |
