| white text | PROGRAMME ENERGIE SOLAIRE is a ministry of the Haitian Free Methodist Church. Established in the mid-1990s, the Programme Energie Solaire provides seminars to Haitians in the construction and use of solar cookers. The seminars use Biblical principles to emphasize conservation and stewardship of natural and personal resources. The staff is committed to sustainable community development, fostering individual responsibility instead of perpetuated dependence. DARIN LAND developed and maintains this web site as a service to Programme Energie Solaire and the people of Haiti. He lived in Haiti from 1981-1986 and 1991-1994. He currently lives in Southern California where he is attending Fuller Theological Seminary. |
