The
Journey
The dark fiery dragon streaks across the sky
The newborn spreads it's wings yet can not fly
It cranes it's neck to peer towards the heavens
It screams and cries as the earth leavens
A single teardrop falls from it's pleading eyes
Becoming crystaline before it ever sees the lies
An innocent life taken by the plague called man
All their strength and magic stayed by a wizards hand
One by one they all died out, by this evil bieng
Fighting only for thier existance meaning
No trac can be found of this once mighty race
Yet, once again we shall see thier grace
The crystals have, now, all been gathered
Mny lifetimes I've spent torn and tattered
Bringing together these solid souls destroyed
With my power combined to theirs, I shall employ
This graceful raceto roam once more
What's this? A knock at my door
I can hear the heavy stomp of metal armor cease
yes, they've come to stop me at my least
No! I can not let this happen at all!
The dragons must roam once again, proud and tall
The resurrection must be fully complete
Else the plague of man will once again decieve
"Arise my beloved creatures of old
Arise I say and let this story be told
Fly through the air I deeply emplore
Fly through the air as you did once before"
I see the crystals begin to glow
Out of my window, I begin to throw
Handfulls by handfulls not fast enough
The bucket I grab for the door is not tough
Quickly I try to toss them all out
In rush the soldiers with a terrible shout
With the last one in hand the arrow does pierce through
Yet, with such strength the crystal I threw
I watched in wonder as they flew away
Centuries I've waited to see this day
I look to the soldiers with a wiry grin
"My journey is now over, this is the end
After years and years of of travelling steep
Satisfied now I can finally sleep."
