Small Coconut Farms Development Project (SCFDP)
three (3) nurseries maintained to cater CY 1999 replanting allocation which spanned to 26.70 hectares
fertilizer application to 387.00 hectares of bearing trees, 21.86 hectares of replanted trees and fertilizer allocation for 1,189.50 hectares
65 fliers distributed to SCFDP beneficiaries, 749 farmers attended 67 sessions conducted for update on latest post rehab technologies
Farmers Organization
technical trainings and seminars continuously done to some 1,155 active coconut farmers organization in the whole region
Special Reports
(CGTS) Coconut Germplasm Testing Station at Hacienda del Carmen in Pontevedra, Negros Occidental is on-going using the Assisted Pollination Technique. PCA 15-3 (MRD X Bay) a hybrid developed by this station were distributed.
3,000 seednuts harvested for the month of July 2000
(CBTU) Coconut Breeding Trials Unit in Mambusao, Capiz planted 85 different varieties both local and foreign
model farm intercropped with pineapple, banana and ginger was established, small ruminants and polycultured fishes were also introduced to the said model farm
RA 8048 implementation collected a total of Php 55,525.00 for cutting permit fees for 2,221 trees
a total of 18,575 seedlings produced by six (6) nurseries funded by RA 8048 were planted by 235 farmers
establishment of a nursery in the Province of Capiz germinated 2,520 seednuts from a total of 3,000 local cultivar sown
nine (9) model farms were established since the beginning of the "Maunlad na Niyugan" project
