Star Wars: Episode 3 - I'm not really into Star Wars (we had to watch the first one from the 70's EVERY YEAR when I was in school, and that's probably the reason why), but I must say that this installment in the series was GREAT. All I have to say is - YOU WERE THE CHOSEN ONE!
Pros: Awesome lightsaber fights, a good movie that "tied up" the loose ends of the Star Wars series, and Yoda kicked some Sith Lord ass.
Cons: Sci-fi isn't usually my cup of tea (unless it has a horror/action element in it, a la Videodrome or Total Recall), but with Episode 3, I can make a teeny-tiny exception here... |

Left: James Woods in "Videodrome". Like I mentioned before, sci-fi isn't really my cup of tea unless it has a horror or action element, or in Videodrome's case, is REALLY fucked up...

High Tension - I was waiting for this one to come out for months - and let me tell you the patient wait was well worth it! When my buddy and I from work saw it, we were amazed. From the get go, you know it's going to be good - from the drive to the secluded cabin, the mastubation scene that comes out of nowhere, and the killer approaching the house full of victims all the while... it can only get better from there!
Pros: A good horror movie with one hell of a twist at the end, plenty of gratutitous exposed flesh and bloodshed, and the instilled knowledge that I will NEVER look at an industrial circular bandsaw the same way again. What more could a horror movie buff ask for?
Cons: More people didn't see this movie. Hopefully, the DVD release will change all that...
