Chapter Ten B "What do you mean?" asked Mikey. "Well, think about it. He attacks us, and just before he leaves, he takes Venus and says that he'll see us again. What if they're using Venus as the bait to get us into their dimension?" asked Donny. "Very good theory, and certainly something Tirus would think of." said Rita. "The question is, why send a single Turtle on us instead of an army?" asked Raph. Rita sighed. "Tirus is leaving us with just so many questions." she said. Max thought for a moment. "That's his angle. Leave us with as many questions as possible so that we can't guess his next move and escape. He's doing this on purpose, I know he is. We're going to have to do a lot of thinking before any acting from now on." said Max. "That's for sure." said Donny, taking a seat at one of the computers. "I sure hope Venus is doin' all right." said Cori. Off in Tirus' castle, Venus was just waking up. She groaned a little as she turned her head. She could smell the faint scent of burning wood, and fire. Her eyes opened and she looked around. Everything was fuzzy at first, but it soon became clearer. She saw a large stone room with a wood fire burning in the middle of it inside a round stone enclosure. The light from the fire cast an eerie orange glow on the walls and ceiling. She wanted to move, but found that she was tied up. Her wrists were tied together to the wall above her head, and her feet were cuffed together also to the wall. She struggled very hard to get free, but couldn't; the cuffs were too tight. Venus failed to realize that she wasn't alone in the room. Coming from a dark corner was the strange Turtle from earlier. He had a large scar running across his arm from Raph's sai earlier. "Slept well?" asked the Turtle as he approached her. Venus' eyes narrowed at him. "Who are you?! Why did you kidnap me?!" she yelled angrily. "My goodness, calm down. I'm not going to hurt you . . . . yet." he said. "But in answer to your first question, my name is Razor. I'd anwer your second question, but it's confidential." said Razor. "What have you done with Leo?!" Venus exclaimed. "Relax, I left him with your friends back in that old place. They'll have a lovely time reviving him." said Razor, moving away from Venus to another part of the room. "Let me go! I demand to be let go!" Venus shouted. Razor chuckled. "I'm afraid that you're not in any position to be making demands Turtle girl." he said. Venus' eyes glowed bright green for a moment, and shot at the back of Razor's head with beams of energy. Razor turned around just in time to see Venus' eyes change from bright green, back to their normal color. He looked at her with a surprised expression. "Well well well, what have we here? A Turtle girl with powers? Heh, interesting." said Razor. "I am Shinobi." said Venus. Razor gave her a funny look for a moment. "Well, whatever that's supposed to mean, it won't be able to stop Tirus' plans." he said. Venus glared at him angrily, and desperately wanted to get free. "Glare glare glare my dear. But it won't get you anywhere." said Razor. "I have to go take care of some, things. But I'm not finished with you." he said, then he left the room. Venus watched him leave, and then looked down towards her belt, hoping to find her communicator. Unfortunetely, it wasn't there. "He probably took it." she thought to herself. She felt so vulnerable and scared that she almost cried. Back at HQ, Leo had begun waking up. He twisted and turned and accidentally fell off of the bed he was lying on. Leo groaned as he stood up. The room spun for a moment, then settled down, and everything was clear. He looked around, then heard voices coming from the Control Room, so he went out there. "Hey, look who's up." said Mikey as Leo entered the room. "Are you ok Leo?" asked Donny. "Uh, yeah, I think so. But what happened? Where's Venus?" asked Leo. "Don't you remember? This weird Turtle dude whacked you upside the head." said Lavia. "And kidnapped Venus." said Fay. "What?!" he exclaimed. The loudness of his voice gave him a slight headache, and he winced in pain. "Where is she?" he asked. "In Tirus' dimension T56S, presumably in his castle." said Max. "So why aren't you all going to get her?!" exclaimed Leo, this time not giving himself a headache. "Because this is most likely a trap. It'll be very dangerous, and we're trying to think of a way that we can help Venus, safely." said Max. "In other words, we're scared, and we're trying to keep everyone safe." said Rita. "Well what about what's happening to Venus? Doesn't anybody care?!" exclaimed Leo. "Of course we care! Calm down, we just have to put our heads together and think of something." said Max. "Calm down my foot! I'm going after her!" said Leo as he went to the elevator. "Wait! No, you can't! It's too dangerous." said Lavia as she followed after him. "You're in no condition to fly a ship after your hit, you should relax as much as you can." said Donny, following after him. "Relax while I now that Venus is out there in danger? You're crazy! I'm going out there to get her, and that's final!" said Leo. Then he went into the elevator, and the doors closed behind him as it went down. "Oh man, he's gonna get himself killed out there!" said Max. "Then I'll go after him." said Donny. "No!" said Rita. She surprised herself by saying this so quickly, but she didn't want anything to happen to him. She walked over to Donny. "Please don't go out there, it isn't safe." she said. "But what about Leo? He just woke up from a severe blow to the head, and now he's trying to fly a ship out into dangerous territory. I can't just let him go by himself." said Donny. "Well then I'll go with you." said Rita. "Rita! Are you nuts?! You haven't flown a ship in a very long time." said Max. "That doesn't mean that I don't know how to fly one." said Rita. "Rita, come here, let me talk to you for a moment." said Donny as he took Rita off to another room. In there, Donny turned to her and put his hands on her shoulders. "Rita, listen to me now, my 'brother' is out there, and in trouble. I can't just let him leave without any supervision, he could die." said Donny. "But I don't want anything to happen to you either." said Rita. "I'll be careful Rita, I always am. Don't worry." he said. Then he kissed her. Afterwards he pulled back and looked at her. "I'll be okay." he said quietly. Rita smiled weakly; she was still worried about him. They both came out of the room. "All right, I'm leaving." said Donny. Rita was reluctant to let go of his hand, but she did anyway. "Keep in contact at all times." said Max. "I will." said Donny, then he went into the elevator. Leonardo had since left, so Donny went after him in another ship. He left the hangar, and setting his dimensional controls to the dimension setting that Max mentioned a little earlier, Donny left the dimension. Rita watched the screen intently as Donny left into the vortex, following Leo. Cori stood next to her. "Hey, he'll be okay." she said reassuringly. Rita glanced at her sister, then looked back at the screen. Leo had just come out of the vortex to Tirus' dimension, and flew over to the castle. He got a strange feeling as he came near the gothic building, but it didn't deter him one bit; he knew that he had to save Venus. Donny was now in the dimension, and spotted Leo as he disappeared around the side of the castle. "Geez, this place gives me the creeps." Donny said as he looked around. In the back of the castle, Donny and Leo both landed their ships deep in the shadows. Leo spotted Donny as he got out of his ship. "What are you doing here? Don't think you can take me back." said Leo. "Shhh! Do you want to get us killed or something? I'm not here to take you back, I'm here to help." said Donny in a strained whisper. Leo smiled. "Thanks Don." he said. "No problem. Now let's hurry up, this place is creepy." said Donny. "Tell me about it." said Leo. They both went to the back of the castle, and looked around. Finding a back door, they slipped into it, and looked around to see if the coast was clear. Deep growling could be heard, and they both ducked into the shadows. A group of beast warriors walked past them. After they were gone, the two Turtles proceeded through the hallways, hiding frequently as they spotted warriors and some that appeared to be guards, all over the place. Venus was looking around the room, trying to find something that she could perhaps levitate to her that could assist her escape, but nothing seemed helpful. Everything was either bolted to the wall, or completely useless. She the heard Razor's voice nearby, but she didn't see him. Venus then saw a box-like device with a speaker on a table in the room. She listened carefully to the conversation going on. Donny and Leo had just come to a hallway of rooms. "Venus is probably in one of these rooms." said Donny. "Well don't just stand there, let's check them out." said Leo. They then came down the hallway listening to the sounds inside of the rooms, and peeking into the small windows in the doors. In the room where Venus was, Razor had just finished his conversation, and Venus had learned quite a few things about Tirus' plans. Razor soon entered the room, and closed the door behind him. He then went over to the small table apparently looking for something. He then heard some talking between two beast warriors over the little speaker on his desk. Razor looked towards it, and quickly shut it off, then looked towards Venus, who quickly turned her head away and pretended to look elsewhere. But Razor knew that she'd heard his conversation with Tirus, and that the information she had could prove detrimental to their plan. Razor walked over to Venus. "What did you hear Turtle girl?" he asked, his voice becoming deep and menacing. "Nothing." lied Venus. "You mean to tell me that you heard no kind of conversation in here, whatsoever?" he asked her. "I heard nothing." Venus said, looking straight at Razor. Razor looked back at her, and came up closer to her. "You wouldn't be lying to me would you?" he asked as he touched her face. "Cos I wouldn't like that." he said. Venus wanted to pull away from him, but of course, she couldn't. She just gave him a mean look. Razor took his hand away from her face and let it slide down her arm. "You know, even though you're the bait for your friends, once you've served your purpose, Tirus has given me permission to keep you for myself." he said. Venus felt disgusted by Razor and his touch. "I would never give you the pleasure of enjoying me in any way." she said angrily. Razor smirked. "Oh really?" he said. Just a little while down the hallway, Leo and Donny were still checking into other rooms. Just then, Leo and Donny heard someone shout. "It's Venus!" said Leo as he raced down the hallway. "Tone it down will ya Leo!" said Donny in a strained whisper as he followed Leo. Leo stopped in front of a door and heard talking inside, he then burst open the door to see Razor standing very close to Venus. "Get away from her!" shouted Leo. "What?" asked Razor as he turned towards the door. "Leo!" exclaimed Venus happily. Razor narrowed his eyes at Leo and Donny. "How did you two get in here? This place is extremely secure!" said Razor. "Well apparently your guards are no match for stealthy ninja." said Donny. Leo ran over to Venus. Razor was about to shove Leo out of the way when Donny clubbed Razor over the head with his bo staff. Razor fell to the ground, but was not unconcious, and pulled Donny down with him, engaging him in a brutal fight. Leo wanted to help his 'brother', but had to save Venus first of all. So he took out a small metal pick, and picked the locks that bound her up in the cuffs. After she was free, she gave Leo a quick hug. "A little help here!" said Donny. Leo turned to Donny, and used his katanna to slice through Razor's scar, starting the heavy bleeding again. Razor clenched his arm in pain, and turned to Leo with blazing angry eyes. He then got off Donny, and went after Leo. Venus helped Donny up. "If I keep getting beat up like this, Rita will never want me going anywhere again!" said Donny. Venus gave a small smile. Then Leo grabbed both of their arms. "Run, now! He's mad!" said Leo. Razor was coming at them full steam, taking out a very big, jagged sword from his belt. Donny, Leo, and Venus ran out of the room, and down the hallway. A group of guards were approaching the left and front of them. "Guards! After them!" shouted Razor. The beasts narrowed their eyes, and took out their swords as they charged after the fleeing Turtles. "Where did you park the ships?" asked Venus as they ran. "Just out in the back, run faster!" said Leo. As they ran, they could hear hundreds footsteps of the guards and Razor and the guards' armor clanking as they ran. The Turtles soon reached the outside, and ran to the ships. Leo and Venus ran to one ship while Donny ran to the other. "Hurry up, these guys don't play!" said Leo to Donny as he started up his ship. As they flew up, about a dozen ships came after the crew. The beasts fired at the Turtles. Donny's ship received some major damages as it flew off. "Backup power failure. Systems shutting down." said the computer voice. "Oh man!" exclaimed Donny. The controls in his ship weren't working anymore, and it started to lose altitude. "Leo! Open the vortex now!" said Donny in a panic. "Sure thing Don." said Leo, and he opened the vortex. Donny's ship was able to get into it, as was Leo's. Leo closed the vortex behind them so the beasts couldn't follow them. The pull of the vortex kept Donny's ship from losing more of its altitude. As they left the vortex, Donny's ship began losing altitude again. He had to do something, and then pulled a lever. Two large white wings spread out at the sides of the ship, allowing it to coast on air. "Cool Don, where'd you learn that?" asked Leo. "Just a little thing called studying." said Donny with a smile. The two ships docked, and the Turtles went up to the control room. |
