HAPPY FORTH OF JULY!!!
The forth was a big day for Emma.  It was another visit to the NICU, but this time the whole family made the trip (Dad is usually working when Mom and Emma make the trip).  Emma was excited to see everyone, but a little apprehensive about being there.  She was afraid of being checked in again for 107 days (but hey, who was counting?)  Regardless, it was great to see everyone.  We (including Emma) miss you all.  Plans are in the works to make a late afternoon run to see you guys at shift change to get the afternoon/evening crowd.  Keep an eye on the door.  You never know when we will be walking in!

Later in the day, we stopped by Aunt Heather and Uncle Brian's house for a visit.  Emma is really getting the hang of "getting out and about".  Initially there were issues with anxiety being away, but she is turing into quite the social butterfly.  Something tells me she will be setting our social calendar for a good long time...  So, while at H & B's, we took Emma to the pool.  We think she loved it!  She loves her tubbies, so it was just a HUGE tubbie for her!  Kids gonna take to water like a duck...unlike our water dog who hates the water...

Anyway, Emma was dragged to Hershey for a pulmonologist visit.  She's still on the O2, 1/16th of a liter during waking hours, 1/8 during sleeping hours.  Dearest Emma has also recovered from WEEKS of a dual ear infection.  That was a treat...  She's almost back to eating like she was prior to the infections.

The other big news (and relief to Mom - and therefore Dad) is that Emma is NAPPING!!!  It's about time.  You would figure with me as her dad, the kid would sleep all day.

Anyway...those are the major highlights.  Mom and Dad head to NJ to see Springsteen live at the Meadowlands.  I can't freaking wait.  We saw him at the Garden in NYC, but this should kick that squarely in the arse...

Hope all is well with everyone.  As our lives with Emma have settled, we will be making more road trips to see you!  That ring at the bell could be us!
