1967 Ranchero
In the Begining...    Me, age 16.
Well here she is freshly re-stored and ready to go, There i am 16 and dead from the neck up. I had this thing on the road for onlyabout 3 or 4 months before I totaled it. Wrastled with an ol' Chrysler 300 and lost. At the time of the picture there's a 289 2V and no frills C4. Power steering but no power brakes. It is a factory 500 (the fancy side trim was removed) and that's the origional color. The interior was changed from parchment to black cause I'm a dirtball. It was a 3 speed on the tree but that gave way to a mid 70's HD C4 trans with a B&M stage 2 shift kit. The factory 8" with 3.25 gears are still there. The neatest thing about it at the time was on the dual exhaust I put the shortest Cherry Bomb glasspacks i could find on it. Man I though it sounded cool..... for about 1 week till they 'wore in." WHAT THE HELL WAS I THINKING???? That didn't last for long as I made way for Super Turbos in place of the fried Cherry Bombs.
All cooped up...
Here's a more recent pic of it. All nice and sung in storage not far from home. Just waiting on my to get my *$@)($ together and get a shop built. Soon enough, I'll be back on 'er again. Up and comming changes: swap to new 302, headers, 2 1/2" dual exh, '71 Mustang front disc brakes, possibly a limited slip rear axle and another paint job. Paintwork is already under way. Go to the next page to see the new 302!
