Catcliffe. Interestingly, nobody in this picture is real - they are all shop window dummies that came to life in 1912 and went on a Catcliffe killing spree that lasted four days and four nights.
Other Places To Visit
Oh look, this is Catcliffe, another glorious jewel in Rotherham's crown, and the place where I lived with Nathan for a couple of years, just to the right of that nice bridge. The interesting thing about Catcliffe was that it flooded really badly at least once a year. Nathan always had to put on his wellies and give me a piggy back to the Off Licence so I could get my nightly fix of White Lightning.
Ulley - if you squint, you can just about make out a young Rotherhamite contemplating suicide.
Oh, and here we are at Ulley Reservoir, where a young Salter very nearly drowned at the age of six by jumping off that bridge and forgetting he hadn't learned how to swim yet.
Actually, there's a common 'bridge' theme emerging in these pictures, isn't there, Pylon fans?  Coincidence? Or something deeper? You, the viewer, must decide.
And here's a picture of a Rotherham War Memorial.
