“Among the acoustic instruments, certainly the most modern and the most complete, for your polyphony and significance, is the piano.

That direct descendant of the Clavichord and  the Harpsichord, as well as these, it is used as more practical and efficient control, that is the keyboard.

The piano is, any doubt, a monument of the technology applied to the music.

In each piece, exists scientific development and a meticulous study of the material.

The piano gets to join in only one instrument the polyphony, the significance, the sensibility and the sonority.

It can be observed in the movement of the action mechanism of the hammer an extremely complex technique, that makes possible different forms of action on the strings,

and allows several sonorities.

And all this is controlled easily by the keyboard. Therefore, the piano stood out of the others, occupying a position of great importance in the scenery of the acoustic music.

The winning pianist Daniel Perola gives larger shine to MPB

After being, in two modalities, among the finalists to receive the Saul Trumpet Award 2003, the artist

from Sao Paulo makes new projects for this year


Sao Paulo – To the almost decades old, the pianist from Sao Paulo Daniel Perola doesn't calm. After coming in the most different cultural spaces of the Brazil´s South in the last three years, and to participate of the show for the delivery of the “VI Bem EficienteAward , created by Stephen Kanitz, that indicates the 50 better beneficient institutions

of the country, in administration, finances and quality of the results, at Sao Paulo, Perola was also in the relationship of the suitable ones to receive the VII Saul Trumpet Award 2003, for two categories: Instrumental and CD - Demo. In 2004, he made larger plans.

On this year, Daniel Perola occupies the most varied cultural spaces of the capital of Sao Paulo. He already came in concerts in the José Lewgoy´s Cultural Space, in the Friends Association of the Modern Art Museum and in the Theater of Sao Paulo`s Transitory House of the Spiritist Federation. All this, without neglecting of your CD new projects for this year.

He is decades old in music, partitures, arrangements experience and life, in Brazil and out it, Daniel Perola walks against the history. In the period when the large humanity part just thinks to be retired, he keeps walking to your result, collectioner of dreams, life and job projects, he keeps improving more and more your professional perfomance.  Lots of different people had the opportunity to appreciate his ecletic talent, rare in this world, because he is one of some solo pianists.

Owner of an eclectic repertoire, where the most beautiful musical compositions consist, in special of Brazilian Popular Music and American Popular Music, Daniel Perola already made shows in the most different Brazil and the United States  stages, where he presented in New York, New Jersey and Florida´s auditoriums.

Out the Brazil, Daniel Perola improved one of his special characteristics. As solo pianist, he places greater force in the left hand and working in a special way the pedal, he extends the musical sounds of the instrument. A characteristic that differentiates him from the majority of the national and international artists and extends each time more its captive public already for the brilliantism of the spectacles.

“Pure magic”, it informs who already had the opportunity to attend the Perola´s concert from Sao Paulo one. Of the artist's eclectic repertoire they consist anthological music like “Eu Sei que Vou te Amar” (of Vinícius de Moraes and Tom Jobim), “Andança” (Danilo Caymi, Edmundo Souto and Paulinho Tapajós), “Ronda” (Paulo Vanzolini), “Por Causa de Você” (Tom Jobim, Dolores Duran), “Minha Namorada” (Carlos Lyra) among so much other, as “Cavaleiro do Amanhã” (Knight of the Tomorrow), of your authorship.

The mentioned compositions are part of the first Compact Disc that the artist concluded to be launched in the next months. A disk that began to be born when Perola still lived in the United States, in New York and Florida. In the occasion, the artist thought about coming back to Brazil to playing the roots of your earth to the piano.

Uneasy, the artist already thinks about the project of  another COMPACT DISC. Perola thinks about offering the great public, extracting what it has of more beautiful in serenades  and contry musics of the country. "It is necessary to hear and to follow the trends of the land, but without losing of sight the good taste and common-sense. Music will be always music, as well as modernity never will be able to modify the beauty of a rose ", he thinks.

In your adventures for the Sao Paulo State´s small cities, Daniel Perola came in the last times in the Roberto Palmari´s Cultural Center, in Rio Claro, city that is part of the net of “MercosulMercocities” through where they reproduce and rebound the effects of the globalization of the world more easily.

When Daniel Perola is playing the piano “it is always a show, simply, extraordinary”, that detach the critics. “After all,  the  artist's  repertoire is  of  pure  musical  seduction”, it  assured  the  vice-director of  Sao Paulo`s University - Unesp -, Joyce Mary Adam de Paula e Silva, after attending one of Perola´s concerts, in Rio Claro.

Last year, Daniel Perola became separated among concerts for the State Sao Paulo`s small cities and for the South of the country. Composer and international pianist, the person from Sao Paulo Daniel Perola conquered the public from “Paraná” in shows in the Theater of Paraná  Spiritist  Federation (FEP), “Teatro do Paiol” and in the “Memorial de Curitiba”, for which there are already negotiations for a new show.

In your last presentations in the capital of Parana, playing the classic of the Brazilian popular music for an eclectic public, Perola enchanted from children to adults that dared to face a lot of rain and the hard cold night of Curitiba, in the months of winter. The talent of Perola deserved, in all your presentations, a public's applauses in foot.

In each one of them, was difficult to arrive at the end of the show, such the number of encore requests. In one of your last concerts, after the 11 September, the pianist rendered a homage to the victims of the terrorism in New York, playing “New York, New York”. It was an only sinergy. From the audience, a citizen, sensitized by the delicacy of the moment, asked to do a gratefulness, " to the artist's talent and the beauty of the show, on behalf of the audience ". A Daniel Perola´s concert is the public's opportunity we have an unforgettable encounter with one of the best interpreters of the Brazilian Popular Music.

But  makes a mistake who thinks that Daniel Perola’s repertoire extinguishes in Brazilian Music. To give larger shine to the party of the effective solidarity, Of Kanitz (Kanitz & Associates), in Sao Paulo, Perola opened the solemnity with the presentation of the themes more the classic composers, like Chopin, Schubert, Beethowen and Lizt.

Therefore, get ready. Plus than the path of an entire repertoire of the Brazilian Popular Music and classic there is a man's history that dedicated all your life to the study of the piano.
