The Honor (age 18-21)
Chapter IX
God really guided me. He didn't forsaken me. He turned my rough road into smooth hi-way.I thought I would starve to death. If not because of my mother's teachings, to be strong and always be in GOD side, maybe I have already joined some gangs and snatchers just to get something for my stomach. I have realized that GOD kept on busy sending kind-hearted individual to help those who are in need just like me.
After all those development, I have already enough time to review my lessons. I'm less pressured already in terms of financial aspect that's why I showed them how I grateful I am by bringing my self into top  dean's list.
I also joined the Legion of Mary - The Mary Immaculate. I started as a member and then later on became the president from 1988-89.Our activities include visiting prisoners in jails, hospitals, and more community related services.
I also participated in our school activities. I became the president of Business Administration Student Association (BASA) from 1989-90. During my term as BASA president, we garnered higher savings until my successor came in. With the helped of my co-officers, we regularly went to the local offices of Coca-Cola, San Miguel Beer Corporation, and many more companies in order to consign goods. Every time where shows were scheduled in the ICC Arts Center, we sold food and drink items.
I became also the president of the College of Commerce Student Council (CCSC) from 1990-91. During my term, I brought the college into an over-all championship award of the school's annual sports competition. We have launch a beauty pageant or search for Mr. & Miss Commerce '90. It was during my term that the relationships and coordination between the two groups were became more stronger.  I'm referring to the Business Administration Student Association (BASA) and Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants (JPIA).
I maintained my good scholastic record and excellent extra curricular activities until the most awaited part came - the graduation day. Though I didn't became a cum laude, nor magna cum laude, or summa cum laude, I felt like I received a great honor more than those three. It's a great honor for me to finish my college despite of my previous financial deficiencies. Many were not able to reach that goal as I achieved.
Our graduation was held in the church and as we marched in and pronounced as new graduate, I cannot hold my tears of joy flowing down my face. I just wished that my parents and brother were there to witness my graduation rites.
I thanked GOD for all these achievements and honor.  Also, I cannot forget to thank Sister mercedes, Sister Margarett, Mr. Daniel Franciso, Dra. Carmen Beduya, all staff of ICC - Lassale, school security groups, my bestfriend since from start: Michael Ardaba  and Rolando Dingding, co-working scholars, officers of my school organizations, my classmates, my relatives, and friends.
