Rome - Italy

The Arch of Constantine, largest in Rome, built in 315 AD.

The symbol of Italy. Colosseum contained a system of corridors for slaves,
caged animals (men against wild beast), and machinery
for performances. It also held the plumbing to flood the
arena for water events. This construction was completed
during 82 AD. More than any other single building, its
construction details, engineering, and sense of power and
authority speak to the Roman culture.

In the history, the Roman Forum was the scene of public meetings, law courts, and gladiatorial
combats in republican times and was lined with shops and open-air markets. Under the empire, when
it primarily became a center for religious and secular spectacles and ceremonies, it was the site of
many of the city's most imposing temples and monuments. Background has the view of Forum of
Caesar (54 BC), temple of Antoninus and Faustina (141 AD).

The Trevi Fountain, the most beautiful and famous in Rome 1732 - 1751.
The imaginative concept, the theatrical composition, the sober and imposing
beauty of the sculptured marble figures make it a true masterpiece both of
sculpture and of architecture. We throw coins into the pool to make our
three good wishes.

The Spanish Steps, 1723 - 1726 with 12 flights of steps. The church above
the step is one of the most imposing Franciscan churches in the city. Built in
1503 at the request of Louis XII. A famous movie called "Roman Holiday"
was taken here.
