Julianna in Her Halloween Costume with Mom
In China when they say noon checkout, they mean it. We tried to get back in our room at 12:05 and the key would no longer work. We got the maid to open the door for us.

We put Julianna in her Halloween costume today. It was a little too warm for her costume, but she didn't seem to mind (unless her hat was on).

I checked e-mail at about 12:30, but we haven't gotten anything from our doctor yet. Her congestion is still pretty bad, so we hope to hear quickly.

Julianna traveled well on the plane. She basically slept all the way. We made it to the White Swan (W.S.) by about 7:30 PM. Everyone checked in and went to their rooms. I like the H.I. Hefei better than the W.S. The H.I. had bigger rooms. I think the W.S. is overhyperd. Their prices are also higher. Room service is 4x the cost as H.I.. Cokes from the bar are $5 at the W.S. and .25 across the street at the 7-Eleven.

Tomorrow is the doctor's appointment and paperwork for the consulate. Hopefully, I can talk to the doctor tomorrow about her congestion.
Today was a busy day. The doctor's appointment was in the morning. At the doctor, whey weighed her, examined her hearing, and took her temperature. We told the doctor about her congestion and coughing. The doctor was able to get us some antibiotics and decongestant.

At about 2:30 PM it was time for paperwork. My wife stayed with Julianna and I went downstairs to prepare the paperwork. It took about an hour. Samson, our guide in Guangzhou, arranged for Danny's Bagel and a Halloween party in the Swan Room at 6:30 PM. We went to the 7-Eleven and purchased candy for the 8 older children in the group.

Julianna enjoyed the Swan Room. My wife and I enjoyed the pizza. We decided not to dress Julianna up again because her costume was warm and she wore it yesterday.

Tomorrow, we will go to the Buddhist temple in the morning and have a Chinese dinner.
In the morning, we went to the Buddhist temple. It was beautiful. Several large statutes and some beautiful buildings were there. Although we are Christian, we went ahead and got the Buddhist blessing for Julianna. There was a nine story building that we could climb the stairs (see picture). We got up to the 7th floor and turned around. I was concerned because of the low clearance getting lower. I didn't want to bump Julianna's head because I was carrying her with me in her Baby Bjorn.

Julianna is starting to feel better after getting her medicine. We are also seeing her personality coming out. She is dancing for us like she did for her caretakers. She is also showing us her $1,000,000 smile. We decided to skip Chinese dinner. Julianna needed her bath and drugs so we didn't have time. Tomorrow is the market in the morning (we will skip it) and visa appointment at 3:30 PM. Also, a river cruise is scheduled for 6 PM.
