Lupus- an auto immune disease where the immune system mistakenly makes antibodies to certain components of the cell nuclei (such as DNA) attacking connecting tissue as if it were foreign, injuring and sometimes destroying vital organs (such as joints, kidneys, brain, and heart)
*symptoms: vary greatly depending on which tissues have been attacked, but most people experience fever, fatigue, aches and pains, loss of appetite and weight, nausea, and malaise, among others
