OLD NEWS IS GOOD NEWS

Your AACT Insurance package has always excluded general liability coverage for certain types of Special Events such as arts & crafts shows, workshops, haunted houses, etc.  Until 1996, however, your group could always add on special coverage to your existing policy by simply purchasing the extra liability coverage at a very reasonable price.

In 1996, this add on option was lost.  In order to secure special events coverage we had to go to a special events insurance company.  This resulted in a dramatic increase in the cost.  For example, special liability insurance for a haunted house operation under the old add on procedure used to cost $250.  The same coverage from a special events carrier now costs at least $700.

The good news is that we have successfully negotiated an agreement with our current insurance carrier that re-establishes the old add on option at reasonable prices.

Here is how this option works.

Your current AACT insurance package does not cover the following types of Special Events: Haunted Houses, Arts & Crafts Shows, Workshop/Classes if offered to non-members, Concerts, Flea markets and Auctions.  However, under the terms of our recently negotiated agreement, you will again be able to add on  temporary liability coverage to your existing policy as follows:
