Yes- it's 42. In an effort to check the question for the ultimate answer here's my list of the-

"20 Things I Want to Do Before I Die"

-Trek the unspoilt far reaches of Nepal and Tibet- while there still are some.
- Hang out at the Mt Everest main Base Camp during Summiting Season (early May'ish) and write story about the oldest, oddest and most enlightened voyager I meet there- guide, climber, tourist, support person, male, female- no matter, just a humane human interest story about 'Because They're There!'
- Do a Road Trip Coast to Coast in a WV Bus! Preferably not solo.
- Do a Road Trip from Mile 0 on the Alaska Highway to Tiera Del Fuego, Argentina (I think you can do that now.)
- Swim in the World's highest lake (Can't remember the name but I think it's in upper Peru.)
- Become a published author of stupid travel log books, one of which must be as big as a coffee table (not a coffee table book- *the* table!) BTW- Being published does not mean successful ;)
- Learn to surf
- Climb to the top of that 'mega-pyramid' just discovered in southern Mexico (?) Belize (?)
- Hike the West Coast Trail
- Do the cross-Vancouver Island 'Big Walk for Charity"
- Circumnavigate Vancouver Island by Kayak
- Cross the Bering Straight from N. Am to Asia (actually from the last Island in the Aleutians to Siberia only about 20 miles- not a real biggie actually)
- Have my son join me (willingly, for at least one of these adventures) sniff'
- Rediscover love
- Rediscover orgasm!
- Have an orgasm so strong I faint!
- Have wild passionate sex on a beach- just like in the movies... and faint!
- Take up skiing again- and not faint (had a bad experience)
- Stay at the Hotel Timeo in Torimina on the North coast of Sicily for a whole winter- just like good ole Sir Winston did in his later years.
- Have a cozy little house on a bluff overlooking a wild western coastline.
20b- Have a beautiful beach pony to ride and look for beach treasures with.
20c- Have the best Christmas of my life in my little cottage with the people I love.
20d- Die in my sleep in my cozy little coast cottage, my sweetie beside me, having completed the final chapter in a book I've yet to find that will be my alltime favourite read.
