10/31/98 Last night at 11 o'clock, when I was checking on all the gerbies, I found that Banner had died = ( I don't know why . . . perhaps a stroke. I just hope it isn't a contagious disease = ( Just to be safe I'm going to put everyone on meds and not get any new gerbs or send any out for 2 weeks. Which isn't a problem because nobody will be ready to go within that time anyway. My poor little boy = ( Gemedet is okay so far, and she'll be getting a new grey agouti mate in 2-3 weeks named Darwin. Banner had a memorial here. On the bright side, today I found that Eve & Reilly are grandparents! Their daughter Jenni over at Lisa's had 5 pups! = ) Today I updated the links and the breeder listing. Yesterday i accidentally uploaded all the files into the WRONG directory! =6 so nothing got changed. Sorry about that.
10/30/98 I added some pics of Dana & Fox to their album. Eve's pup that I fostered to Dana's litter is doing very well = )
10/26/98 Oops! Joke's on me! Even as I wrote that yesterday Eve was giving birth to pups ;) She had 2. However, one was dead this morning = ( So I fostered the remaining pup to Fox Litter #3. I hope all goes well...
10/25/98 Hmmmmmm I'm guessing Eve isn't pregnant after all. Actually she probably is, they probably just mated sometime when I wasn't home. Doesn't it figure = ) Well she'll have some eventually. I talked to Mindy the other day and found out that her schimmel girl, Honey, died recently = ( She was Eve & Reilly's mom. Yesterday I introduced Linnea & Hafwen and things went very well! There are new pictures on their page.

10/20/98 Hmmm I think Eve is going to have a small litter again = ( She just doesn't seem very big at all. If I didn't know better, I wouldn't think she's pregnant. Phoooie. Today I got some pics of just Mary-Eben, and added some to Pookie's page.
10/18/98 Friday was Fox's first birthday! In addition to the usual pictures, today I added a picture to Riven & Adia's page, several to their album, and 2 to Eve & Reilly's album.
10/12/98 Today I added pictures to the color spectrum and Ben & Sympatico's page.
10/11/98 Adia had babies! Also Gemedet & Banner are now together, they're sooooo sweet = ) I addes some pics to their page. I have some beautiful gerbils available, check out the adoption page.
10/10/98 No babies for Adia yet! = ( I'm guessing 3, when she does have them. Lilith & Ashwin are now a couple! I introduced them today. There are pics of the happy newlyweds on their page.
10/4/98 Well I got 2 new pics of Ashwin = ) The new guys are now in split tanks with their girls. Lilith and Gemedet don't seem to like them too much = ( but hopefully they'll get over it. Cross your fingers, I've been having bad luck with intros lately. Yesterday I went to Lisa's and took some pics for her and compared Mary-Eben and Anthony to her DEHs. They're definitely not DEH. But just what they are remains to be seen. Today I revamped the genetics guide so it's more helpful = )
10/3/98 Yesterday it was one year since we got Skittish Happy anniversary bud!! = ) Guess who got here today!! Ashwin and Banner arrived! Welcome to the clan little boys! So the next weeks will be full of split tank intros =6 The one I'm really worried about is the one between Linnea (page in limbo right now ;) and Hafwen. They're both adult females. I soooo hope they get along = ( Today I'm going to Lisa's soooo . . . ta ta.
9/28/98 Unfortunately both of Eve's pups died = ( I don't know what went wrong. Exciting news about Adair's pups (check out their page). I also added a link to my Animal Science page. The female of a trio of white gerbils at school had pups today (or so I'm told). They'll all be white. (dull ;) LOL
9/27/98 Wow! What a surprise! Eve had two pups this morning! They weren't doing too well and Eve wasn't being her usual caring self, so I've fostered them to Adair. Poor thing now has 8 mouths to feed! I don't know if the 2 little ones will make it or not. I know they've been in the nest while she was nursing, but I don't know if they've been getting anything. Oh well, time will tell. Oh and you all know Marrim who FINALLY made it to Stephanie K.'s house on the 4th of this month? Well Stephanie thinks she *might* be pregnant. We'll see in good time.
9/22/98 Bad news = ( Thelasso, Itasca, Didasca, and Fortuna all made it safely to NC and were doing very well at Holly's house. However, earlier today, Thelasso mysteriously died = ( he seems to have had a seizure. I feel so bad for poor Holly, she was so excited to get them today = (
9/21/98 Adair had pups! I think she **might** have more (tho I doubt it) so I'll keep everyone updated = ) I also added a page with pics for Ben & Sympatico.
9/20/98 Met Lisa in Newark, dropped off some pups to go to their new homes, and picked up Sympatico!! I will get pics of him tomorrow, when *hopefully* Adair will have pups.
9/19/98 Well I have some pics of the chubby Adair! Check out the Danziger Litter #1 page to see them, and please leave a guess as to how many pups she'll have! I've been busy today. I added pics to Lilith's page and Hafwen's page and took a bunch of other pics that I'll hopefully make into a 1999 calendar people can DL and printout = ) There's been a change in plans for Selene and Myst; they seem to hate each other (darn siblings!!) I'm going to be introducing each to a gerb from Lisa, and then meet Lisa again sometime *soon* (BTW I'm meeting with her tomorrow, not today, oops ;) to send them to Stephanie F. Stephanie deserves a round of applause for being so patient!! Sometimes I feel like nothing ever goes right for me so it's nice that people don't give up ;) 'cause so far they've all gotten there in the end! In the event that one (or, tho I doubt it, both) doesn't get along with their new mate, they might be put up for adoption again. So if you'd be interested in Gg-carriers, you never know.
9/18/98 Tomorrow I'm meeting up with Lisa to drop off the remaining pups to go to new homes = ( I'm also getting a black pied boy for poor Ben. Adair gets bigger every day! My guess is 6, give or take a pup. I'll try to get a pic up tomorrow so you all can guess ;) Two weeks til Ashwin and Banner will be old enough to ship.
9/16/98 Oh my gosh = ( I went to check on the boys today, and I discovered that Monny had died in his sleep = ( this is so odd. . . he was perfectly fine last night, I don't know what happened = (
9/15/98 NEWSFLASH!! Adia and Riven are mating! Finally! Also I went to the pet store and bought Critters USA 1999 annual issue. And on page 115 the book review page is listed! Dunno why they didn't link the main page, but whatever. Cool, I feel special ;)
9/15/98 Yay!! Adair is DEFINITELY pregnant and getting quite pudgy. She's due on Monday! My estimates now are, hmm, four or five. Oh and I got a pic of my new shelves. School really stinks, I have way less time now, but don't worry I still plan on doing day-to-days of Adair's litter, but I'll probably end up skipping a few days or adding pics a day late. I'll try my best though! ;)
9/11/98 Well you-know-who mated again tonight so I'm for sure getting that little cutie boy from Kate, Seraph, and unless Adia bulges pretty quick right now with an agouti spot male I'm definitely getting Banner too = ) School was interesting today. I'm taking this class called Animal Science and I'm going to try to convince the teacher to get a pair of gerbils form me, maybe for breeding. Maybe she'll have mice and rats too, she also has (I think) hamsters, chinchillas, and rabbits, maybe other stuff though I don't know what "other stuff" would be. Oh and I added some new baby pics to Lilith & Ashwin's album.
9/9/98 Tomorrow is Pookie's birthday! I bought some great new shelves today for my "overflows" ;) Ben & Monny, Selene & Myst (still in intro = 6), Adair & Danziger and Lilith & Hafwen are all on the new shelves. $20 holds 4, maybe 6 tanks. I love 'em! Thanks Lisa for pointing them out to me = ) I think they're called "Five Tiered basic shelving units" that hold up to 500lbs.... I don't know if that's the name but it's written pretty big on the box = ) They're great, and very light and easy to assemble. ::ad mode off:: Still don't know if anyone's pregnant or not. How frustrating!
9/8/98 I might have found mates for Gemedet and Lilith! They'll be coming from Kate in NY sometime in October probably. There are day to day pics of them on her page! One is Seraph (Ashwin--siamese) and the other is Banner (grey agouti). Click on those links to see daily pics = )
9/7/98 Wahoo! Touch, Letta, Dell and Whelan all arrived safely at their new home with Ingrid in Wisconsin! Big thanks to Lisa for shipping them for me!! = ) Next week, Gergesa and Katina will be going to Michigan, Thelasso, Itasca, Didasca, and Fortuna will be going to North Carolina, and, HOPEFULLY Selene and Myst will be going to Arizona, and Everleigh and Eva (the visiting red fox) will be going to Nevada = )
9/4/98 Well that 2 hour drive each way down to Lisa's was worth it after all! ;) Chinny and Marrim arrived safely at Stephanie K.'s home in Michigan around noon today! = ) I'm so glad that they finally have reached their new home. The other 4 will be sent out on Saturday which ought to please Ingrid immensely = ) Thank you guys for hanging in there!! I can't believe it but after tomorrow I will have no day to day pics of any litters for awhile! = ( I'll have like 3 weeks off from it! (Kelly #3 is being weaned and no one else is expecting soon) But that will give me time to adjust to school and such. I'll still update the page every few days, of course, to keep up-to-date on who apparently is or is not pregnant. (is not being far more likely ;) This is the first break I've had since like . . . EVER! = ) Oh I'll also update on when everybody gets to their new homes and stuff = )
9/2/98 Skittish recently turned 1 year old! And Pookie will be 3 in a week = ) I added a new album page for both of them. Today I am dropping off Letta, Touch, Chinny, Marrim, Dell and Whelan at Lisa's place. Lisa's going to try to ship 'em for me. CROSS YOUR FINGERS!!!!! Selene and Myst were supposed to go too but they aren't getting along in the split cage = ( So I'm gonna have to wait awhile to introduce them, and either ship them in Oct when I *hope* I'll be able to ship or else dispatch a friend to ship them for me... perhaps I should hire somebody eh LOL ;) Lately I've been thinking of giving up on Dana (so to speak) and just getting one of her burmese newphews from Kate to be Ashwin (Lilith's mate) because if Dana's going to have a litter of 2 every 6 months, that's all white, I doubt I should count on her to give me a siamese ;) Ahh, well, we'll see. I'll give her another month or two or so... maybe til she's 1 yr old (Dec 1st). Think that's fair?
