Ape's Traverse Boulder

This problem is located on the Ape's Traverse Boulder, nearest the sidewalk on Indian Rock Ave. (See Map 1.) It is a good place to boulder late into the evening as the streetlight provides lighting after the natural light has faded.

Start with both hands on the horn in the middle of the overhanging face. Feet on whatever below. Reach up (long) to the prow of the overhang, either on the crest or on the hold to the left (as shown in the video). Reach up with the right hand to the crest and pull up. Mantle the crest. A stylish finish does not grab the ridgeline above, as shown.

Many harder problems have been done using small holds. Many other problems, varying from reasonable to quite hard go vertically or from left to right.
