Center Overhang

in

The Pit

On the left side of The Pit is a sizeable overhang. (See Map 1.) Numerous problems go up this overhang, two of which are classic. The Center Overhang goes directly up the overhanging face. Work up the lower, easy, section until the wall steepens significantly. You need to get your right hand onto a vertical edge pretty much in the middle of the face. Lieback that edge and work your feet up. Move your left hand up onto an intermediate hold and then bump up to the large horn at the top of the overhang (as shown in the video), or go directly to the horn. Above the holds are large and the climbing is reasonable. But the problem is quite high so a pile of crashpads and a good spot are a good idea.
