THE FINAL SCENE
"I'm willing to bet that it was an ongoing conspiracy," said Finor.
"Yeh, ok, I admit it, I killed 'em all," snorted Moran. Everyone looked puzzled.
"All the royalty, you surely don't think it was co-incidence that all them kings and queens died around the same time ten years ago!" Moran exclaimed and Benick looked shocked.
"You killed my parents!" Benick exclaimed and Moran only grinned evilly.
Tiela looked into his eyes and saw the emptiness. She shivered. There wasn't just evil in his heart, it was intertwined with his soul.
'I think," Tiela started, "that as part of the treaty, we should decide Moran's fate." All the youngsters nodded in agreement.
Tiela picked up a pencil and started to write on the document, all of a sudden she stopped.
"Is something wrong?" asked Finor worried.
  Tiela choked.
"What is it Tiela?" asked Ellie.
Tiela turned to look at Moran. "He's dead," she said, "HE'S DEAD!!!!!"
"What do you mean Tiela? Who's dead?" asked Mickael.
"Nathan's dead!" she screamed, "AND HE DID IT!" she pointed a long finger at Moran who smirked.
"Don't be silly Tiela, how do you know he's dead and who did it? Hmmmm?" asked Hyacinth
"I..... just..... know!! I can just... feel it.... I can't explain it, all I know is he's dead, gone, I can't feel his...... his presence anymore," replied Tiela.
"His presence? In case you hadn't noticed Tiela, Nathan hasn't been present on Illunus," scoffed Hyacinth.
"I can just feel a great big gash where there outn't be any ok!!!" snapped Tiela.
"Ok, ok, no need to get testy!" exclaimed Hyacinth.
Tiela turned to look at Moran and remembered what he had just managed.
"You, you, YOU!!! I am going to kill you! You will die a long, slow, painful death!" Tiela was absolutely furious.
Benick's hand fell on Tiela's shoulder, "I don't think that's a good idea," he said, "It's inhumane and that is definately not you!"
Tiela looked around wildly for a minute then calmed, if the king of Excelsior could think it was inhumane, then it would be a very stupid action to undertake.
Moran laughed. "I wouldn't listen to the boy," he snarled at Tiela, "He wants to take over Frountasia using the treaty as unlimited access to the other countries to aid him!"   All turned to look at Benick.
"Ugh, ugh," was all he could utter.
  "Is this true?" asked Tiela.
  "Yes, it was," Benick admitted.
"But he was a fool!" said Moran, "He didn't see that if the treaty went through, our army would be miniscule to those of the other four countries combined!"
"SILENCE!" roared Tiela. "Was?" she asked Benick.
"If this is the truth then I don't think I want to sign the treaty!" exclaimed Hyacinth.
Tiela sighed. "But didn't you just hear what Moran said?" she asked, "If we sign the treaty, we can combine armies and we could never be overtaken, we could live peacefully."
"Yes, but he'd sign the treaty too!" complained Mickael.
"Well if that's the case, perhaps we should change the treaty to fit four countries though I think if you listened, you'd discover that we wouldn't have to go to all that trouble," Tiela turned and looked at Benick who nodded.
"How can we know to trust him?" asked Hyacinth.
"TRUST! You must just trust! You can't have peace without trust!" said Tiela.
The other kings and queens sighed. Tiela turned and finished signing her name on the document, Benick followed suit and then the other three royalty.
Tiela looked at Moran in triumph. "You failed," she said simply.
Moran growled. "But you haven't won," he said and disappeared in a flash of light.    Finor, who had been holding him, was startled.
"The tricky old goat," she growled, "Tought himself a little magic."
"I have a feeling that's not the last we've heard of Moran," said Tiela, "But next time he appears we'll be waiting and there's not much he can do against the combined efforts of Frountasia!"
