SAYING GOODBYE
Tiela neatly hopped up onto her horse and turned to smile at Nathan.
"Are you sure this is the right thing Tiela? Maybe I should go in your place? I'm more expendable, Evelren needs you Teila," said Nathan.
"Now Nathan, if we want this treaty to work, we are going to have to trust, without trust, how are we going to cope once the other four countries have access to our own, hmmmm? And you do want this treaty to work, don't you Nathan?" replied Teila.
"Of course I want the treaty to work Teila, I just worry about you."   Ever since Teila's parents had died, ten years ago, Nathan had brought Teila up and was like the mother and father she never had.
"Don't worry," said Teila as she started to trot off, "I mean, I will have your two most trusted guards following me all the way to Illunus!"
Nathan shook his head, how had she known that his two most trusted guards were to follow her. He had made the arrangements most secretly for Teila had wanted no guards once she reached Illunus, she hadn't minded the guards for the journey, for it was a long one, but had expressed her concern about taking them onto the island Illunus for it was there that the peace negotiations were to be held and hopefully, a treaty signed. The kings and queens of the other four countries were also to attend (and they were most likely to bring guards too) and Nathan worried that a fourteen year old girl might not fit in with any of the great kings and queens that would be present.
Teila shared most of Nathan's views though little did he know it. She was nervous about meeting the important kings and queens that would be there. What would she say? How would she say it? Would they think her petty? Her mind was so focused on these issues that she hardly thought of the journey ahead of her.

"Remember boy, that treaty is the agreement to get us the whole of Frountasia! Once all the countries have their guards down, BAM! Our armies hit them like a tidal wave. We take over Frountasia, we can take over the world! Someone try and stop us, someone try and get in OUR way!!"
The young king of Excelsior puffed out his chest and said, "None can stop US!" to his tutor, Moran.
"We will be the richest in the world!!" boasted Moran smiling an evil grin.
"We will repent my mother and father's death ten years ago!" said the young Benick of fifteen years of age.

"If we keep on the border we shall be safe, but as soon as we step into another country we can be accused of abusing the Treaty regulations," explained Finor, one of the guards, to Teila.
"I thought the treaty was to enable everyone to travel into all the countries," replied Teila.
"All the countries are in agreement that in our travels to Illunus, we cannot cross into one of the other countries or it is considered that we would prefer the treaty not to go through, that is why we cannot, and will not travel over any of the borders," replied Finor.
"Oh," Teila still felt a little confused but she agreed with what Finor said, whatever it was.    Finor was Nathan's most trusted guard, she was nimble and quick and had saved more than one life. She had good tactics and always seemed to know her enemies well. She also had numerous informants and this was one of those times when she felt that what she had been informed was more than just a rumour.
"If I were you, I'd keep an eye on the Excelsion king," she said to Teila, "I will too but seeing as you are going to be closer to him I"d suggest you look as well."
"Will do," replied Teila, "Um, so do you know much about Excelsior's king?"
"Sorry to disappoint you, all I know is that my informants say he's been up to something in that castle of his, they all seemed more than just a bit suspicious but there was nothing they could point a finger at," replied Finor.
