One of the more interesting Gods, sadly Kane is also the only God to have died, not to mention at the hands of a mortal. Kane's famous second moon has not been seen in the night sky since his death.
Simultaneously, no one can seem to remember exactly what he was God of. Many believe he was actually God of the Netherworld and that his passing separated it from the natural world. Each year, they say, more and more netherworld creatures journey to their normal world to escape persecution and those that would hunt them.
The final legend associated with Kane and his death is the origin of the werewolf. At the death of Kane, his great priests supposedly underwent a bizarre and dangerous mutation. The mutation joined them with the emblem of their God but changed its noble personality to a savage beast. Since then they have propogated and continued the species by biting mortals to change them also to werewolves. |
