| ADVICES TO NEW STUDENTS |
| 1- The classes start at 9:00 am., you have a break time at 10:45 am.; the second class starts at 11:00 am. and it finishes at 12:40 pm. Then you can go. It's recommendable to arrive 10 or 15 minutes earlier, to leaf through the binders that there are here in the filing cabinete of the classroom. There, you can find some interesting words and grammar rules. Also there are some binders with photos and information of some Latin American countries. 2- In the brake time you can drink some coffee for free.....they also put some cookies, or you can buy an ice cream or potatoe chips in the vending machine inside the building. If you want to breakfast, you have to bring something, because there is not any meal shop, we just have a vending machine for drinks and another one for chips. In this time you can go outside and sit with your partners in the little wood tables, it's so pleasant. 3- The beginning and the finish of the classes is given by the music. If you're outside and you hear the music, you have to enter to class. And if you are inside (in the classes) and you hear the music, you cannot go, you have to wait for the finish of the class, but that means that you are going to go out soon. 4- It's a good idea to have a binder with some dividers....like "classes", "synonyms and opposites", "activities", "vocabulary", "family words", "rules", etc. It's better to study. It's also a good idea to get the blue books "Grammar in Use" and "Vocabulary in Use". Ask the coordinator for those books....you can buy it and the price is $25....they're really good. 5- When the coordinator gives you your student carnet, you have access to the computer lab with internet conexion. But now, the computer lab is still in the old building, which is located in the shopping center beside our building. |
