Gergeti Holy Trinity Church of Kazbegi, "Gergetis Sameba", XIV century On 16 July of 1980, the Georgian Patriarch Ilia II held a church service at the Gergeti Holy Trinity Church (in Soviet time churches were empty and services were prohibited) and called this day A Feast of Love. Since then all Georgia celebrates this day. This church is located at the highest place in whole Georgia.
