• Formed 12.1941 in Abrud by Brigada 3 Munte: Bat. 25 V.M. formed by Bat. 5 V.M, and Bat. 26 V.M. formed by Bat. 6 V.M.
  Staff: 19 Officers + 23 NCOs + 481 troops.

• On 1.1942 the two battalions were sent to the front (as Detasament Colonel Rotta), initially assigned to Brigada 1 Munte in Crimeea (?), then, shortly, directly assigned to the German 17th Army in Izium area (South of Harkov).
• 26.1.42: shortly after arriving in Krasnograd, the Detachment was assigned to the German "Mikosch" Group, in an area E of Novo Komo. Initially, during 12 days, the Detachment actioned alone, in remote areas: it stopped and pushed back stronger soviet forces in Kegitshevka (Kagitscherka) area, blocking all the communications to Krasnograd.
• 4.2.42: it seized Tiskiopinka.
• 5-7.2.42: after heavy fightings, it defeated the enemmy in Nis. Orel and Komunarka areas; then it passed the Orel river at Pokrovka.
• 8-10.2.42: it attacked and pushed back the soviets from Novi Svet, Grushino and Lihacevko railway station (S of Pervomaisk - 65 km south of Harkov).
• 17.2.42: assigned to the German "Koch" Group, it seized the fortified pozition of the Sivash (Shutor ?) kolkhoze.
• 19-23.2.42: it seized Kaspurovka and Novo Nikolaevna (of the Orelka valley). In 20.2.42 it seized Pervomaiski.
• 8.3.42: moved to Bereka valley (50 km S of Harkov), supporting the German assault in Gomoloshka forest (it was here reinforced with a Hungarian squadron).
• 18-25.3.42: heavy fightings in Ternovka valley.
• 28.3-14.5.42: moved to new defensive positions along the western bank of Orel.
• 14.5.42: moved N of Berdianka.
• 18-25.5.42: action with the German 454th Inf.Div. towards Andrievka and Volni.
• 25.5-4.9.42: moved to the German 11th Army reserve at Pavlograd, with the missions: to watch & escort the POWs and to fight the partisans of the Donetz basin.
• 4-6.9.42: the detachment was entrained in Lozovaia railway station, returning to Abrud.
