Regiunea 2 Aeriană. (Reg. 2 Aer.).
2^nd Air Region

Historical:

Commandment which assigned all the Air, Aerostation and AA defence units from 10 districts of Moldavia (Bacău, Botoşani, Brăila, Buzău, Covurlui, Iaşi, Roman, Suceava, Tecuci, Vaslui). Its competence included all problems related to administration, technical supply, sanitary situation, infrastructure and mobilisation.
10.41: it expanded its territory with the new liberated counties of Northern Bucovina and Bessarabia (Bălţi, Cernăuţi, Cetatea Albă, Chişinău, Dorohoi, Lăpuşna, Tighina).
Summer 1942: it established and sent to the front Regiunea Aeriană Înaintată. In the same time, Reg.2 Aer. expanded its action area up to the Bug river.
1.11.44: disbanded (merged with Corpul 3 Aerian).
