HISTORY.

• 12.10.41: the Detachment was formed by the German 11^th Army (Feldmarschall Erich von Manstein), and assigned to the Motorised Ziegler Brigade.
• sent to Crimeea, towards Alma Bahcisarai.
• 31.10.41: arrived up to SW of SIMFEROPOL, actioned against the Soviets and then pursuit them to Sevastopol. The Detachment intercepted the Soviet communications to Evpatoria.
• 10.11.41: regrouped for the assault on SEVASTOPOL - see the map
• 17.12.41: deployed as the right wing of the German 54^th Corps, with the main forces in Kacea area and the forwarded surveillance units on the seaside towards North, up to Beregovoe.
• 17-23.12.41: in action to the South, on a direction parallel with the seaside; it reached the Kacea valley on 23.12.
• 23-25.12.41: it mopped the Kacea valley up, advancing then 5 km to the South up to the Black Sea seaside.
• 26.12.41: entirely deployed on the seaside; here it received the order to move to KERCI, where Soviet landings occured.
• 28.12.41: moved to Keneges and assigned to the German 42^th Corps.
• 29.12.41: stopped from its movement and regrouped in the evening in Vladislavovka area; from here an attack (together with Div.4 Munte) on the direction Aşigol-Feodosia was planned.

• 15-18.1.42: it took part to the re-conquer of FEODOSSIA, in the left flank of the 42^nd Corps, between Seit Asan and the sea (Parpaci area, at the left of Brig.8 Cav.).
• 2.42-beg.of 5.42: after the battles for Feodossia, the Detachment was moved in the area Genicesk with coastal security missions.
• 5-8.5.42: moved from Genicesk, through Djankoi and along the Sivaş in the area FEODOSSIA, where it was assigned to the Groddek Brigade.

  • The Armoured Mixed 560 Company.

• 9-15.5.42: the Brigade in action on the direction Daln Kamîşi, along the seaside up to Kipceak (9.5), Saraimin (10.5), Tabecikoe Lake (13.5), Orteli (14.5), finally arriving in the city and harbour Kamîş Burun (simultaneously with the German 132^nd Division - Gen. Lindemann), while KERCI was seized.
